The Buffalo Forge Company was founded in 1878 and was once the largest employer in the City of Buffalo. The original industrial manufacturer of forges, fans, air handling equipment and machine tools stood on Broadway street between Mortimer and Spring street right where the new Forge on Broadway stands today.
