Timber Pharmaceuticals was founded in 2019 to develop treatments for unmet needs in medical dermatology. We have a particular focus on rare diseases or conditions of the skin for which there are no current treatments. Rare skin diseases are among the most neglected therapeutic areas in the pharmaceutical industry. Over 450 different rare skin diseases have been identified, and yet there have been only 17 FDA Approvals for eight different rare dermatological conditions since the Orphan Drug Act was passed in 1983...
