David Nicholson - Chairman

David has been working in the field of organisational development for over twenty years, focusing on supporting individual and organisational change through developing better relationships between people and their environments. He is a co-director of Levati, an Organisation Development consultancy working in the UK and globally across a range of organisations. He's previously worked in senior OD and HR roles in engineering, manufacturing, financial services and education companies. He's also on the board of the Organisation Development Network Europe running their conferences and events. Originally from Essex, and now based in Lancashire, he started his career teacher training in Poland, where his love of theatre was ignited by appearing in vodka-fuelled pantomimes.

Mark Hollander

Mark is the administrative brain behind our new grant programme, unAwards. He has worked as an arts practitioner, executive director, and consultant for over 35 years, mainly based in Yorkshire. His work spans senior roles at Arts Council England, leadership roles in arts and cultural organisations large and small including Phoenix Dance Theatre and Unlimited, and as a consultant working across arts, culture and heritage with organistions, local authorities, and independent artists. Mark has also worked abroad including in Spain, Sri Lanka, and Türkiye, trained and worked as a Radio Studio Manager at the BBC World Service, and has initiated networks such as the Yorkshire Touring Network, for peer support within the arts and cultural sector. Mark is Chair of Yorkshire Dance and, when he's not doing all the above, loves reading books, watching films, road cycling, and cooking.

Nickie Miles-Wildin

Nickie is joint Artistic Director and CEO at DaDa in Liverpool. DaDa is an artist incubation Hub for Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists and also hosts a biennial International Festival. Previously Nickie was Associate Director at Graeae, head of their new writing programme. Nickie has worked at The Royal Exchange Theatre as Young Company Programme Leader and prior to that as Resident Assistant Director, part of the Regional Theatre Young Directors Scheme. Nickie is best known for her role as Miranda in the London Paralympics Opening Ceremony 2012.

Pete Robinson

Pete is an experienced consultant, specialising in new technology, kids entertainment, ethical marketing to kids and education (and where possible screwing all those things together). He is a regular speaker at research and kids entertainment conferences on topics such as media consumption, digital trends, social media, video consumption, entertainment brand strategy and wider children's media habits.

Pippa Hough

Pippa is an Events Producer at the Science Museum. She specialises in creating large scale events and festivals that engage people with the cutting edge of STEM and its potential effect our lives. Her favourite projects involve bringing together artists and scientists to create innovative, interactive storytelling through live events, exhibitions, and dance.

Rachael Abbey

Rachael is a writer, actor and Co-AD of Hull based company The Roaring Girls. She makes work which is playful, reflective and full of heart - and has a great time whilst doing so. Externally to The Roaring Girls, she has previously worked with Middle Child, Hull Truck Theatre, Hull 2017 City of Culture, John Godber Theatre Company and Silent Uproar. Most of her work is devised within The Roaring Girls, working in a very open and supportive manner to make sure that they create work that is personal but comfortable for the performers to show. Recently they have been working on the show Beach Body Ready, which was Guardian recommended and part of the British Council Late Recommendations at Edinburgh Fringe 2019. Currently they're working on a show about menstruation and associated health conditions, working with scientists, charities and community groups to create a cabaret show.

Sarah Oliver-Webb

Sarah started with Unlimited in April 2019 as General and Financial Administrator before stepping into the role of General Manager in November 2019 and then Executive Director from April 2023. She oversaw the transition of the company from its producing model to grant making model and remains employed by the company (part time) running its reduced operations. Outside of Unlimited, Sarah is Finance Administrator with Northern Broadsides and works as a freelance bookkeeper. She is also Company Director for Designing Dialogue (S.H.E.D), a spin out CIC from the University of Derby. Previous to Unlimited, Sarah climbed the operational ranks at Sheffield's independent cinema, Showroom Workstation, completed an 18-month internship with Third Angel, and set up a new event space and programme at Harland Works in Sheffield. Outside of work, Sarah watches too much TV, chastises herself for not reading enough, talks of getting back into playing squash and loves dreaming of innovative home storage solutions.

Tania Mahmoud

Tania works for the British Council and has recently joined the Global Network Team, where she is supporting its overseas network, working closely with the European Union, Middle East North Africa and Wider Europe regions. Until recently, Tania was Cities Programmes Lead at the British Council, where she worked across arts and inclusive communities portfolios to coordinate programmes in key cities in England and support the development of their international cultural relations strategies. Prior to this, Tania was Partnerships and Collaborative Programme at the Science and Industry Museum, where she built and developed strategic partnerships with local, national and international cultural and science organisations to develop and deliver creative programming for Manchester Science Festival. She has also worked in fundraising and project management roles at educational charity Teach First and multi-artform cultural venues The Lowry and Contact. Tania studied Theatre Studies at Lancaster University and has always had a love for contemporary theatre and dance. In her spare time, Tania enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, live music and the theatre, socialising with friends and going on expeditions around the world.
