Christine Kull - Managing Director

As a part of the founding team of Vantage Partners in 2001, Christine rejoined the firm in 2013 to accelerate several strategic searches for clients. Christine has a proven track record of completing hundreds of key executive level searches in Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, Marketing, Product and Sales for venture funded and public companies in a variety of market segments. Christine has also led her own full-cycle search practice (Austin Search Partners and SF Search) where she built a successful track record partnering with startup, scale-up venture-funded and private equity-backed companies to achieve their growth goals with a search process that results in exceptional hires for the long term. Additionally, Christine has served in Head of Recruiting/HR and Chief of Staff roles in several venture-funded startups . In addition to her executive search and recruiting expertise, Christine has broad experience as a product manager, marketing and business development professional in pre-IPO and public software companies. Christine's well-rounded professional background enables her to quickly grasp a client's organizational challenges in order to provide valuable guidance to steer the recruiting and hiring process. High integrity, professionalism and strong business and market acumen are among Christine's top strengths. Christine is currently based in Austin, TX, has an MBA and J.D. from Santa Clara University, and a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Irvine, and is also a licensed, but not currently practicing attorney in California. During the pandemic, she earned a Data Science Certificate from UC Irvine, and spends her free time brushing up on her French language skills.

Jodi Shah - Managing Director

Jodi joined Vantage Partners in February 2015, bringing her nearly 15 years of experience executing successful placements across various industries. She has built teams and matched executive talent within the financial services sector, software, ecommerce, clean technology, travel, and education. Jodi has a passion for assisting her clients as they build their organizations, whether they are emerging start-ups or international corporations. Jodi excels at finding the optimal match between clients and candidates, and led recruitment for five years at the development division of SAP Labs North America, a large international software corporation. At SAP Labs, she grew teams within several international divisions, and she also gained experience placing C-level talent at an executive search firm. For the past nine years, Jodi led her own full-service search practice, Shah Resources, where she built a successful track record in full lifecycle recruitment. During this time, she helped build the management team and global operations for a well-funded start up in the electric vehicle infrastructure sector as well as revamp the marketing organization of a successful pre-IPO company focused in the crisis communication space. In her free time, Jodi enjoys an active lifestyle and raising her two young daughters with her husband. Jodi earned a Bachelor of Science at Loyola Marymount University.

Marina brings a unique blend of creative and analytical recruiting management expertise from her experience recruiting across various industries. As a dedicated and passionate executive talent partner, she excels in building and executing effective talent strategies. Marina's commitment to excellence drives her success in delivering top-tier talent to organizations. Most recently, Marina served as the Director of Talent Acquisitions at one of the largest Fin-tech providers in AP & AR (NYSE: BILL), where she was able to leverage her extensive TA background and expertise to lead hiring top performing professionals across G&A and GTM Executive level functions. Prior to that, she partnered with a mission driven company as the Director of Talent Acquisitions at Sunrun (NASDAQ: RUN) to help scale G&A, GTM, Engineering and Executive level functions. Earlier in her career, Marina held various roles within talent acquisition across multiple industries. Marina holds a B.A. in Business Management from San Francisco State University.

Richard A. Lear - CEO

Richard has led more than 300 executive searches for leading technology companies. His current search focus is within AI / Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics, Products and Engineering. Recent wins include Amazon, Sojern, OpenTable, Rocket Fuel, Homer Logistics and Universal Music Group (UMG). Richard has founded and overseen product management for four Silicon Valley-based businesses, including iView, (interviewing platform), RichMedia Networks (customer lifecycle management) and Greenwave International, Inc. Previously, Richard was a founding partner at both Vantage Communications and Lear, Herrerias, and Lee. He began his executive search career as a senior associate at the Stratford Group. Richard received his bachelors In Economics with honors from Brown University. He's also completed additional engineering and venturing coursework at Georgia Tech, UC Berkeley and the Kellogg School of Management. Richard has founded four Silicon Valley-based businesses, including TalentValue (SaaS performance and retention Platform), iView, (interviewing platform), RichMedia Networks (customer lifecycle management) and Greenwave International, Inc.
