Corey graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's of Finance, and further completed graduate work in Substance Abuse Counseling. Corey went on to complete a Master's in Business Administration. Corey's heart is in helping others heal from the disease of addiction. Corey brings experience in everything from running groups and counseling to organizing and operating programs. Corey is married and has two children. Corey loves to golf, trail run and be outside.

David Nelson

Dr.Nelson is a Family Medicine Specialist and has over 24 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from At Still University Health Sciences/Kirksville College Of Osteopathic Medicine medical school in 1998. He has been with at Wasatch Recovery for over 10 years. When he's not working he is volunteering at the Hope Clinic. He has been married to his best friend for 30 year and have 8 children together. He enjoys spending time with his 3 wonderful grandchildren.

Jason English is the Outpatient Operations Manager with Wasatch Recovery, he oversees the daily operations at Wasatch Recovery Outpatient and Sober Living. He manages several areas at the Outpatient level helping the clients get into programming and housing that best fits that individual. Jason is originally from Las Vegas, NV, and has been with Wasatch Recovery since 2014 and working in the Social Service field of working with others since 2001. "I love seeing individuals change for the better" Jason takes extreme pride in having a mindset that is one of hard work, comes into work every day with a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. He's also a soft-spoken, kind-hearted individual, with a hope that energy rubs off on those he comes into contact with daily. Jason is an active person, a lover of most sports, especially golf, and enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and 3 dogs.

Jason Mijarez

Jason has a fundamental belief that in order for life to be a satisfying and rewarding experience, it must be meaningful and interesting. As a therapist, he not only aims to support achieving lasting recovery, but he also strives to aid in the formation and development of a more inviting and well-balanced future for his clients. His approach seeks to minimize personal suffering while promoting functional wellness in multiple domains of living. His overarching objectives are to elevate self-awareness, increase competence, empower achievement, and promote growth. Jason has extensive history working with individuals and families from all walks of life, and views treatment and therapy as a collaborative process. He operates from a strength-based perspective and has complete faith in the redemptive power of human resilience!

Jeff and his brother started Wasatch Recovery in 2011. He has a huge heart and want to help anyone he can. Jeff brings experience from a variety of other fields. His primary focus was in residential real estate. When not working Jeff can be found coaching one of his 5 kids or spending time play games with his family.

Julie Wilde

Julie found a new home with Wasatch Recovery a year ago, she brings years of experience and knowledge in managing and maintaining our sober living. Julie is grateful for her journey in recovery, through her own trials she has found a passion and a love in helping others find their path into recovery. Julie is dedicated and takes pride in her work. Julie grew up on a farm, where she gained a strong work ethic, learning many different tools that assist her today. Julie loves being outdoors, especially working with horses. She has been involved in an Equine Therapy program for 11 years, she assists Wasatch Recovery Residential and Day Treatment programs helping clients to see what they learn at Equine Therapy can be used in their recovery, thinking creatively. If they can get a 1500 lb. animal to accomplish a task, they learn that they can do hard things and be stronger in their own recovery.

Kirk Laplante

Kirk oversees the daily operations at Wasatch Recovery. He manages the staff and leads by example. Kirk helped start the Wasatch Recovery Foundation Friday Night Sober Softball League. Kirk takes great pride in showing up to work everyday with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and contagious energy. Kirk started shortly after Wasatch Recovery opened and has grown with the company. Kirk is an active person and enjoys time with his family.

Mark and his brother started Wasatch Recovery in 2011. He is very passionate about helping people in addiction. Mark brings experience from a variety of other fields. His primary focus was in commercial and residential real estate. Mark is an active owner and is committed to being involved in each person's treatment. When not working Mark can be found on a golf course or at the lake with his family.

Nadya Wayment

Dr. Wayment is a board-certified family medicine and addiction medicine physician with 10+ years of experience. She practices with a passion in delivering patient advocacy, anticipatory guidance, and providing the highest quality personalized medical care. Her career has been focused on developing strong relationships with her patients, their families and the entire healthcare team. Dr. Wayment completed her family medicine medicine residency at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona in 2008. Dr. Wayment also holds board certifications by the A.B.I.M in family medicine, and she is a member of the American Society of Addiction medicine.

Ryan Decker - CMO

Ryan is a native to Utah and enjoys golfing, hunting and anything in the outdoors but more then anything he enjoys time in the mountains with family and friends. After Ryan's own battle with addiction he reached out for help and found that at Wasatch Recovery. Ryan has a passion for helping others and loves to help in anyway he can to help them regain happiness and lifelong recovery.

Shawn Mansell

Shawn has over seven years of experience as a therapist, including five being focused on substance abuse. Shawn was born and raised in California, but is proud to call the breathtaking mountains and vast deserts of Utah home. He has a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's in Science degree in Mass Communication (Journalism), both from the University of Utah. Having tipped his toe in writing and journalism, Shawn has always been driven by a passion to hear the stories of others, particularly the unheard and unrepresented. He believes strongly in the healing power of controlling your own narrative. When not at work, Shawn can be found perusing non-fiction books and documentaries for inspiring stories and intriguing trivia. He also loves animals and has a cat with an Irish name that no one seems to pronounce correctly.

She has experience in the treatment industry both as a staff member advocating for clients struggling with substance abuse problems, as well as a past client who has recovered from substance abuse issues. She finds happiness by practicing gratitude, living simply, and remembering to stay present.

Tina Holman has been with Wasatch for 9 1/2 years. Tina oversees all experiential activities at Wasatch Recovery. Her passion is helping people who have become disconnected to themselves and others both mentally and physically. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for 12 years. She has years of experience teaching corporate and studio yoga but prefers teaching inpatient treatment recovery yoga. Tina is happily married and the mother of 3 children. She loves life and lives it to the fullest.

Todd Sylvester

Todd Sylvester currently serves as a Belief System Counselor & Personal-Development Mental Fitness Coach. Todd refers to Wasatch Recovery Treatment Center as best University on the Planet. Todd spent his youth addicted to drugs and alcohol. Through his own recovery and newfound awareness, Todd learned that more powerful than any addiction was the power of the human spirit. Over the past 31 years, Todd has discovered and taught universal principles that have empowered thousands to conquer addiction, crush compulsive behaviors and change their limiting belief systems. Todd has been married to his sweetheart for 29 years. They have four children and live a happy, busy life together.

Wendy McCarter

Wendy has been with Wasatch Recovery since 2015 and worked in the recovery industry since 2009. Wendy graduated with honors from the University of Utah and received a masters in professional Counseling from Westminster College. Wendy is passionate about her work and grateful to be a part of individuals taking the reins back in their lives. She is well trained and experienced working with trauma, personality disorders, mood disorders, and eating disorders. She is known for her ability to strike a balance between being strong, direct, and honest while still being compassionate, patient and supportive. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys time with family and her dogs and exploring the magnificent mountains of Utah.

Whitney Williams - CFO

Whitney Williams has been with Wasatch Recovery since 2011. Whitney graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health. Since then she pursued her passion in the Finance industry for the last 20+ years. Prior to her time with Wasatch Recovery she was the Director of Finance at LifeStar Financial Services before coming over to Wasatch Recovery at its inception. Whitney has been able to watch first hand Wasatch Recovery's amazing program grow from an idea into an incredible rehabilitation center whose main focus is to help those in need. After almost 11 years in the industry, her greatest joy is to be a witness to the many lives Wasatch Recovery has changed and continues to each day. She and her husband Nate are parents to 4 adult children and enjoy traveling and spending time with their kids.
