YUBELY ZOLKE

A bilingual teacher with international experience, Yubely Zolke has served as principal of Waxhaw Elementary School in North Carolina since 2019. In this leadership position, she oversees all aspects of staff recruiting, fiscal management, and professional development for a school with 550 students and 50 faculty members. Yubely Zolke holds a master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Greensboro College and an undergraduate degree in modern languages from South Colombian University in Neiva, Colombia... A native Spanish speaker, Yubely Zolke created the Spanish I curriculum for Union County Virtual School in 2013. She has also worked as an English teacher for first and second graders at the Anglo American School in Bogota, Colombia.
