YNZ MONTESSORI HIGH SCHOOL ARUBA - Key Persons

Leah Bray

Job Titles:
  • HUMANITIES TEACHER
Leah has been teaching and designing curriculum for students of many ages in nontraditional educational programs for over twenty years. Much of that work was in her capacity as a professional scientist working in the field of conservation and ecological restoration. For the past three years as a full-time classroom teacher, she has taught all subjects to adolescent students at Treehouse Montessori Christian School in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Leah's love of Humanities was born of her interest in social sciences and policy. She has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Rhodes College and a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology from Mississippi State University. As a scientist, she appreciates the importance of both written and verbal communication and values the study of history and social science to better understand the world and our connections within it. Leah is an avid reader and is happy to share her love of books with students. She is also a photographer and musician and looks for ways for students to share their knowledge and understanding through many forms of self-expression. She is excited to be a part of the new YNZ Montessori High School in Aruba and looks forward to bringing a shared classroom experience for a true global perspective.
