I am a web development apprentice with a background in teaching and a love for problem solving and thinking on my feet. Working within education, I discovered my knack for finding innovative solutions to challenges, which eventually led me to web development. I'm particularly drawn to creating visually appealing user experiences and enjoy the challenge of turning design concepts into functional websites. I am excited to embark on my journey with Cooperfields, eager to contribute my skills and creativity to the team.

As a teenager, I developed an interest in coding after learning HTML and CSS to build personal websites for friends. Since then, I've honed my skills in JavaScript and PHP and have had the pleasure of building sites for dozens of businesses across the US and UK. I completed my BA in Spanish literature at the University of Arizona but ultimately decided to focus my career on a different type of language -- programming. With over 5 years of professional experience in web development, I have worked with clients across a variety of industries in both an agency and freelance setting. At Cooperfields, I've had the opportunity to work in all aspects of full-stack development, including bespoke theme and custom plugin development. I love meeting the challenge of the unique features and tools dreamed up by our clients. It's a day well spent if I can bring your digital ideas to life.

With a passion for technology, graphic design, branding, and websites, I have developed a strong set of skills in the field of marketing. Ironically, my professional journey began in the sales department of an accounting firm, but I quickly progressed to a newly-formed marketing team, where I was able to contribute to the company's growth.

Art and design have always been a huge part of my life. I've spent countless hours drawing, painting, visiting art exhibitions and pinning my favourite designs on Pinterest, all of which have helped me refine my design skills and expand my creative knowledge. From a young age, I've always wanted to work in the creative industry and working with Sarah and Matthew has allowed me to start my perfect career. I've had the opportunity to take on projects such as developing logos into full brands, designing websites, creating content and designs for multiple social media channels, and writing bespoke and technical content for clients. Being given creative freedom has been instrumental to my growth within my role. Whether I'm designing a website, getting creative on Illustrator, or managing a social media account, my focus is always on delivering high-quality work that resonates with my clients' audiences and helps them achieve their marketing goals.

I always loved designing, creating things, and drawing as a child growing up. Who knew there were other careers out there that would be ideal for the 4-year-old Sarah when I was younger than I was, but all I wanted to be was a fashion designer.
