With over 27 years of experience in the motor industry, Darren has previously managed countless dealerships before coming to us and his experience is invaluable to us.
Having over 15 years of managerial experience, Darren is a great asset to have here at Unit One Automotive. His outside-of-the-box thinking and drive for excellent client service are delivering a fresh approach to the behind-the-scenes workings here in the company.
He has an immensely positive attitude, and always happy-to-help mentality that only boosts the ideals that Unit One Automotive hold. Darren is an avid music fan and used to collaborate with bands in his spare time producing high-quality photographs of live shows.
He transitioned to putting his keen eye for detail and skill to work within our preparation centre here at Unit One Automotive. He has extensive knowledge of the detailing world and which products work for each paint type.
Ellie is a key part of the team, making sure the mechanical side of our preparation centre is running smoothly and is often juggling a lot of plates to make sure everything happens when it should, and that our vehicles are prepared to the highest standards in the industry.
Often liaising with our service centre, M.E.S in Cranleigh, she is responsible for making sure all vehicles are up to date with their Servicing and MOT's and have undergone our rigorous inspection procedure before being listed for sale. Ellie's core focus is to ensure that all vehicles are ready to drive away the same day.
Ellie has done all the hard work behind the scenes, so you don't have to!
Jack is our Director here at Unit One - as well as the Director at MES - our sister branch in Cranleigh, responsible for servicing and repair of the latest vehicles at consistently uncompromised quality.
His passion for the motor trade has flourished over the years, and after 12 years of building MES to become the largest independent facility in the area, the desire approached for a fresh challenge. A common demand from customers at MES has always been the supply of high-quality vehicles to replace their existing vehicles, or as an addition. Eventually, the demand became too much to ignore - the result?

A great asset to the Team, James is integral to the high preparation standards for which Unit One have become well known for.
James joined the Team coming from a motorsport background, instructing clients on racetrack experience days, and was responsible not only for providing a great experience for the client, but also for the detailing and upkeep of the high-performance, high-value race cars on site.
James also produces high-quality social media content for the company which can be seen on our various social media outlets. He has been an automotive videographer for over 8 years and thoroughly enjoys working with new and exciting ways of creating content for the company.
He has a great interest in cars and even owns his own MK6 Fiesta purpose-built track day car to let off some steam on tracks across the UK!

Neil is an experienced General Manager and Dealer Principal with over 20 years motor trade experience. Having Neil as part of our Team has brought Unit One a wealth of product and industry knowledge, specifically related to prestige and volume markets. With history of management of teams of 100+ staff, it's safe to say that Unit One is in some pretty capable hands!
Neil's role at Unit One is the very definition of all encompassing - he is charged with the daily total business management and growth. This role runs from budgeting and accounts to vehicle sourcing, staffing, and even emptying the bins from time to time!
His dedication since joining the Team has been faultless, his hard work and efforts shining through every day. His efforts are measured by the excellent customer feedback which he has been instrumental in achieving along with the other Team Members at Unit One Automotive.

Owen has always been interested in the mechanical side of the business and is a kind and hard-working individual with great promise within the motor industry. His eye for detail along with his natural talent for mechanics will see him go far!
He comes from a background where keeping calm under pressure and working toward strict deadlines is a must. His excellent work ethic shines here, and we are so glad to have him as part of the team.
Owen is an avid car enthusiast and a hobbyist mechanic who enjoys working on his own vehicles.
Phil's experience includes paint correction methods, expert machine polishing and with previous contracts from marques such as Porsche and Aston Martin dealers, his high standard of work follows in line with our high expectations for detail.
Rob worked in FD and Senior Finance roles for 30 years, before heading up the Finance Team at MES (Surrey) Limited and Unit One Automotive in 2021. He has a proven track record in growing businesses, reducing risk and delivering successful exits in business.
Previously to joining Unit One Automotive, Rob has led numerous reviews and changes associated with the Bayer UKI corporate structure, financing, and pensions strategy. He holds a vast range of different sector experiences, suiting him perfectly as an independent viewpoint over Unit One Automotive.
Rob has C level experience in Life Sciences, Automotive, Engineering and Construction businesses, and is a major asset to the management structure at the MES Group.

Yvonne started at Unit One in June 2023, she is the Group Financial Controller here and at our sister company, MES.
Yvonne has previously worked in various sectors including software training, engineering, interior design and most recently for a not-for-profit governing body. She has over 30 years finance experience and is qualified with FMAAT professional status.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to Rewind and Boogietown music festivals and researching her next holiday destination, Turkey is always a favourite!
