Andrew Stewart - Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Legal Officer

Andrew Stewart was appointed our General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in July 2020. He is responsible for leading our legal and compliance functions. Andrew is a dual-qualified (UK and Australia) lawyer with 17 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining ViiV Healthcare, Andrew was General Counsel and Company Secretary for Oncimmune Holdings Plc; a medical diagnostics company which is focused on profiling the body's immune response to target cancer. Prior to this, he held senior roles at medical device manufacturer Smith & Nephew plc and the pharmaceutical company Shire plc. He also brings more than a decade of experience in private legal practice, most recently at Clifford Chance LLP. Andrew holds degrees in Science and Law from the University of Adelaide, Australia.

Charlotte Allerton

Charlotte Allerton is Senior Vice President, Head of Medicine Design for Pfizer. In this role, Charlotte has worked with numerous teams to build a strong pipeline of small molecule therapeutics across Neuroscience, Rare Disease, Inflammation and Immunology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Antivirals, moving multiple new molecular entities into clinical development and to regulatory approval. She is a member of Pfizer's Worldwide Research Development and Medical leadership team and serves as Scientific Director for Pfizer's R&D site in Kendall Square (Cambridge, Massachusetts). Charlotte began her career at Pfizer in the United Kingdom as a medicinal chemist, before moving into leadership positions in Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics and Metabolism (PDM) and then taking on leadership of Medicine Design, where she is accountable for medicinal chemistry, PDM, and many of the discovery platforms involved in designing new medicines. Charlotte has a BSc. from the University of Nottingham and completed a MPhil at the University of Cambridge. She is an honorary fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Charlotte was recognized as a Healthcare Business Association Luminary and Fierce Pharma, Fiercest Women in Life Sciences in 2020.

Cheryl MacDiarmid

Cheryl is Head of Global Commercial Strategy with a focus on product and portfolio strategy, pricing and market access, digital, data and analytics, and digital health innovation - to help make HIV a smaller part of people's lives. Cheryl began her biopharmaceutical career at GSK in Canada. Her first significant leadership role was leading marketing and sales in Canada, modernising customer engagement for accelerated growth across a broad range of medicines and vaccines. In 2011, Cheryl relocated to the US as a member of the GSK US Executive Team, with P&L accountability for Primary Care businesses and leadership of US Pharma operations. Signature contributions included game-changing moves that pivoted the performance trajectory, the launch of new medicines with industry-leading performance, divestments for profit growth, and a relentless energy for team engagement and talent development. Cheryl holds a Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto, a Master's in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto, and executive development from Harvard, Wharton and Columbia.

David Payne

David Payne is Vice President and Head of Infectious Diseases Research for GSK where he leads a team focused on novel approaches to cure hepatitis B (HBV), viral and bacterial infections along with supporting GSKs portfolio of late-stage medicines for HBV, bacterial and fungal infections. David has progressed multiple projects into clinical studies including a first in a new class of antibiotics in Phase 3 trials, and establishing a portfolio of therapeutics to cure HBV. Furthermore, he led the creation of the GSK:Vir alliance during the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. Previous roles for David include Head of Medicine Opportunities where he was responsible a portfolio of high value medicines in ID, COPD, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy & eye diseases and from 2017-19 he was Site Leader of GSKs US R&D hub (Upper Providence, Collegeville, PA). David has been an advisor to multiple government and non-government agencies on approaches to address AMR, including contributions to President Obama's report on AMR. He was the first to integrate public private partnerships as a solution to tackle AMR and is currently the Principle Investigator of GSK's BARDA (US HHS) contract providing >$200M for sharing the risk/cost of progressing our antibiotic portfolio. David is currently a board member of Life Sciences of PA & GSK's US Charity Contributions Committee. He has a PhD and DSc from The Medical School, University of Edinburgh, UK.

David Redfern - Chairman

David Redfern is the Chairman of ViiV Healthcare's Board. David was appointed as GSK's Chief Strategy Officer in May 2008 and is responsible for proactive exploration of new business opportunities, strategic planning and dermatology. He is a member of the GSK Corporate Executive Team. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Northern Europe with responsibility for managing GSK's pharmaceutical businesses in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. David also had overall responsibility for the European HIV business from 2006 to 2008. David joined the company in 1994 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he managed a portfolio of audit clients and corporate transactions. He began his career with GSK as Corporate Accounts Manager and spent four years in the Corporate Development team before being appointed Finance Director of European Pharmaceuticals in 1999. He was appointed Senior Vice President & Area Director, Central Europe in 2003, where he successfully led the Central Europe markets through their transition into the EU, and Northern Europe in 2005. David has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bristol University in the UK and is a Chartered Accountant.

Deborah Waterhouse - CEO

Deborah Waterhouse was appointed to the GSK Leadership Team on 8 January 2020. She became Chief Executive Officer of ViiV Healthcare on 1 April 2017. ViiV Healthcare is majority owned by GSK, with Pfizer Inc. and Shionogi Limited as shareholders. In addition to leadership of the HIV business, she also leads GSK's Global Health organisation. Deborah joined GSK in 1996 and was most recently the Senior Vice President of Primary Care within the company's US business, prior to which she led the US Vaccines business. She brings a wealth of experience to GSK having lived and worked in Europe, Asia Pacific and the USA, and a strong track record of performance in both speciality and primary care. Deborah led the HIV business in the UK before heading the HIV Centre of Excellence for Pharma Europe, and held international roles as General Manager of Australia and New Zealand and Senior Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe.

Diego Sacristan - SVP

Diego Sacristan is Senior Vice President, Pfizer's Oncology US lead and a member of the Global Oncology Leadership Team. In this role, Diego leads an industry-leading portfolio of more than 20 approved innovative cancer medicines and biosimilars across more than 30 indications in the US, with a focus in breast cancer, genitourinary cancer, hematology and precision medicine. Prior to this role, Diego served as Regional President for International Developed Markets (Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia/NZ, Russia, Turkey and Israel). Diego started his career with Pfizer in Spain and has been with the company for 18 years in a number of roles spanning a broad set of responsibilities across Europe, Latin America, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Diego leads Pfizer's Latino Colleague Council, a group that provides networking, leadership training and mentoring programs, as well as opportunities to celebrate the ethnic and cultural diversity of Pfizer's Latino community. Diego received both a bachelor's and master's degree in Economics and Management from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He also completed the Advance Management Program (PDD) from IESE Business School.

DR JOHN KELLER

Dr John Keller joined Shionogi Inc. in July 2010 and was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Shionogi Inc. Board of Directors in April 2011. Immediately prior to joining Shionogi, John was a Partner in SR One, the venture capital group of GlaxoSmithKline. Previously, John served as Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer of Incyte Corporation, playing a key role in its transformation into a drug discovery and development company and establishing its first major corporate alliance after that transformation. Before Incyte, John had a 16-year tenure at GlaxoSmithKline and its predecessor, SmithKline Beecham, culminating in the position of Vice President, Worldwide Business Development. In that role, he structured numerous licensing agreements with a broad range of partners worldwide, including the agreements originally establishing the Shionogi-GSK (later Shionogi-ViiV Healthcare) joint venture. Earlier positions encompassed R&D strategy, technology licensing, alliance management, public policy, project management, and drug discovery research. John holds a Ph.D. in microbiology from Rutgers University and a Bachelor's degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr Kimberly Smith

As our Head of Research and Development for ViiV Healthcare, Dr. Kimberly Smith MD, MPH oversees the clinical development of our pipeline assets in support of our overall company strategy to deliver meaningful advances in treatment and care for people living with HIV. Kimberly is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine and holds an MPH degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She completed her internship, residency, and Infectious Disease fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Following her training she joined the faculty of the Section of Infectious Disease at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Prior to joining ViiV Healthcare in late 2013, Kimberly served as the Principal Investigator of the Rush University Medical Center Clinical Research Site of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG). Kimberly also served as the chair of the ACTG Underrepresented Populations committee and chair of multiple ACTG clinical trials. She has been a member of NIH study sections, the HIVMA Board of Directors, the CDC Board of Scientific Counselors and numerous advisory committees. Kimberly has published over 100 articles, abstracts and manuscripts and she co-edited one of the few books, HIV/AIDS in U.S. Communities of Color, which addressed the HIV epidemic among minorities in the USA. In addition to her research activities, Kimberly has been an active HIV clinician, clinical educator, community leader and advocate. She has lectured at countless local, national and international conferences including the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections, the International AIDS Conference, The International Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, and Infectious Disease Society of America.

Jean-Bernard Simeon

Jean-Bernard (JB) is our Senior Vice President and Head of Europe having joined ViiV Healthcare from GSK in January 2022. JB leads our European business with accountability for nine ViiV markets as well as, partnering closely with GSK, across our 21 Alliance countries. JB started his career with SmithKline Beecham in Belgium in 1998 and has gone on to hold senior roles within GSK including as General Manager in Austria and Belgium and Commercial Director for Specialty Care in Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as several global and above-country roles, including Synflorix Global Marketing Director and New Product Introduction Lead in the Vaccines business. In his most recent role prior to joining ViiV, JB was SVP and General Manager of GSK in Germany. During his time as General Manager, Jean-Bernard , with his team, drove a fundamental change in the business culture, accelerated the top and profit line growth and established a robust organisation to deliver strong performance in Vaccines and Specialty Care, including the successful launch of Shingrix and the new Oncology and Specialty Care portfolios.

Lauren Carey

Lauren is our Vice President and Head of the International Region, joining ViiV Healthcare in February 2022. Lauren leads our International business, which includes two ViiV Healthcare markets, as well as partnering closely with GSK across our Alliance markets in Asia Pacific, Latin America and Middle East-Africa. Lauren joined ViiV Healthcare from Vertex Pharmaceuticals where she held the role of Senior Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, Lauren held various positions in Novartis including Country President and Oncology General Manager of Novartis Australia and New Zealand, Ophthalmology Franchise Head Novartis UK, and Global Brand Director based at the Novartis Global Headquarters in Switzerland. Lauren brings deep experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked across multiple therapeutic areas in specialty medicine, oncology and rare disease. Passionate about working collaboratively with healthcare systems to enable access to innovative medicines, Lauren is motivated to build diverse and high performing teams, fostering a culture of empowerment, inclusion and patient focus. Lauren holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership Capability from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Portsmouth.

Lynn Baxter

Lynn Baxter became our Head of North America on 1 February 2019, joining ViiV Healthcare from GSK where she most recently led the Global Vaccines Commercial business. She has a proven track record of delivering consistent robust performance and impact while in varied roles, geographies, and therapeutic areas. Prior to this, Lynn held various positions in GSK. She was General Manager of GSK Philippines where she was accountable for running all aspects of the local Pharma operating company. Before moving to the Philippines, she was Head of Commercial Operations for Emerging Markets, based at GSK Global Headquarters in London. Covering more than 100 diverse countries, Lynn was responsible for driving pharmaceuticals business performance, delivering business transformation, and significant global corporate change initiatives, as well as building commercial capabilities. Previously, Lynn was Global Head of Hepatitis and Travel Vaccines, GSK Global Vaccines based in Belgium where she led a vertical end-to-end cross-functional matrix organisation, encompassing R&D, manufacturing, and commercialisation. Earlier on, she was based in Shanghai as Growth Strategy Director for Vaccines. She joined GSK in 2009 as a Marketing Director for Europe and Emerging Markets. Before joining GSK, Lynn was with Roche Pharmaceuticals in various positions, including HIV Franchise Leader and Global Marketing Excellence Lead. Her earlier career was spent at Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) in the UK, in a variety of sales and marketing roles of increasing seniority.

Lynn Hawkins - CHRO

Lynn Hawkins joined the ViiV Healthcare team as Head of HR on 1 August 2022. Lynn joined from GSK R&D where she was a member of the Lead Team in her role as Head of HR and business partner to Hal Barron. During her time on RDLT, she played a key leadership role supporting the creation of One Development and One R&D, embedding the new GSK culture and bringing in the brightest and best talent. Over Lynn's time with GSK, she has held a number of increasingly senior HR roles including roles in Consumer Healthcare Asia Pacific, Pharma Europe, Reward and Global HR Operations. Lynn is known for developing diverse, high performing teams and for creating environments which enable people to thrive and perform at their best. Bringing her strong leadership and broad experience to ViiV, Lynn continues to drive a strong people agenda, focusing on talent development and embedding our shared culture. She is committed to driving gender equality in the workplace both inside and outside GSK and continues to play an important leadership role on GSK's Global Gender Diversity Council. Lynn holds a Bsc (Hons) in Business from Manchester Metropolitan University and an MA in Human Resource Management from the University of West London. He joined ViiV in 2018 having previously held finance roles in GSK at a country, regional and global level, as well as roles outside of finance. Neil brings strong commercial acumen and ambition for patients alongside a focus on culture and passion for delivering ViiV's mission.
