Brenda Griffin-Bates

Since joining ACHA as an Executive Assistant for the ACHA Executive Office in 2006, Brenda has also been part of the ACHA Foundation team as an Administrator. Her previous experience in the legal, accounting and banking sectors has provided the Foundation with an invaluable range of knowledge.

Brenda Wilson AM

Brenda has significant clinical and management experience in the healthcare industry in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Australia and the UK. She held a number of senior leadership roles across the sectors, most recently as CEO of Cancer Council SA. She was made a Member of the General Order of Australia in 2019 for significant service to community health, the Arts, and to the people of South Australia through a range of roles.

Dr Bronte Ayres

Bronte is a renowned and highly regarded clinical cardiologist. He has a long history of supporting Cardiac Services at Ashford Hospital. His vision and initiation of Angiography and Cardiac Surgery at Ashford in 1991, significantly contributed to the exemplary service provided today. Bronte has been an ACHA Foundation Trustee for over 20 years.

Graham Clark

Graham is the Corporate Secretary to the ACHA Board and the Executive Officer of the ACHA Foundation. As a Certified Practising Accountant, Graham has managed the corporate governance and accounting aspects of the ACHA Foundation since 2010.

Graham is an experienced Chartered Accountant and Director of successful public / private companies and associations, with extensive experience in accounting, finance, audit, risk management and corporate governance. He was made a Member of the General Order of Australia in 2005 in recognition of his contribution to accountancy and business.

Mr Tony Johnson - Chairman

Tony is a consultant with national law firm Johnson Winter & Slattery. He is a highly respected legal practitioner and an experienced company Director. He practices in the area of corporate advisory and dispute resolution and advises many companies and businesses on matters relating to Director responsibilities, corporate governance and risk management. Furthermore, as a former Governor and Vice President of the Florey Medical Foundation of The University of Adelaide, he has enjoyed a long association with the University's Medical School.

Ms Kathy Gramp

Kathy has extensive Director experience across a diverse range of organisations and industry sectors including health, media, property, technology, finance, government, education and primary industry. A Chartered Accountant and Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Kathy brings a blend of leadership, strategy, finance, risk, corporate governance and change management skills to the Board.

Peter Cundy

  • Well - Known Orthopaedic Surgeon
Peter Cundy is a well-known Orthopaedic Surgeon in Australia, specialising in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and general adult orthopaedics. He is active in research at the Women's & Children's Hospital and The University of Adelaide and on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed medical journals. He was an Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Peter is active in teaching medical students and surgical trainees, as well as education and assistance in the South Pacific region where he spearheaded programs for children's clubfoot management in the Solomon Islands, Samoa and Fiji. Peter is a well known and respected orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and general adult orthopaedics. He was appointed as the Chairman of the ACHA Foundation in December 2020 and has focused on raising the awareness of the Foundation and the support it provides to ACHA's hospitals. Peter is also an ACHA Board Director.
