Bud Otis

With a double Major, Religion Business from Andrews University, Bud dedicated 15 years directing the sales of the churches literature and became President of the Churches Publishing House. Subsequently, the Chairman of Religious Affairs for the Soviet Union asked him to come to Russia and build a Religious Publishing House. They are the only Religious Publishing House in Russia to this day!

Jason Topper

A veteran of the senior care industry, Jason is familiar with the types of challenges seniors face as they age. Now a financial planner with Turning Point Financial in Frederick, MD, Jason helps individuals and couples prepare for the unexpected. Jason realizes that there are many seniors in our community who, due to circumstances out of their control, require help from an organization like SOAR. Helping our seniors maintain their dignity and independence as long as possible is his goal. Jason and his wife, Jen, danced in the Frederick Alzheimer's Association's "Memory Ball" in 2014 and were awarded the "Best Swing Dancers" for the event. Also, he was voted Best Financial Planner in 2022 from the Frederick News Post's Best of the Best competition.

Judy Lancaster

With a master's degree in business administration, Judy is responsible for the operations of Lancaster Craftsmen Builders, a company she jointly owns with her husband, Mark. An avid supporter of the Alzheimer's Association, Judy served on the Greater Maryland Chapter's Board of Directors for six years and chaired its "Dancing Stars" annual fundraiser. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Weinberg Center for the Arts. Caring for her father, who suffered from dementia, has given Judy a personal understanding of what it means to be a family caregiver.

Judy White

Judy moved to Frederick in September of 2020 and is a retired hairstylist with a wonderful husband and two amazing children. Since she was a young girl, Judy always had a deep desire to help others. Her volunteer experience has come in many capacities, including nursing homes and The Humane Society. After joining SOAR in July 2022, Judy immediately felt as if SOAR was perfect place for her. She is looking forward to many years of service with this amazing organization.

Katie Darr

Katie Darr has been a volunteer for SOAR since 2015. She serves on the Golf Classic committee, A Toast to the Holidays committee, and acts as our volunteer event coordinator. Katie wears many hats here at SOAR, however, she's mainly responsible for our administrative work and keeping things running behind the scenes. Katie brings years of healthcare experience to the team and is happy to be a part of the SOAR family.

Leigh Cadle

Leigh Cadle is the Community Outreach Coordinator for 2nd Family Home Care and Support Services. As a lifelong resident of Frederick County, she's incredibly passionate about helping senior citizens in and around the local Frederick area. Because of Leigh's passion for helping local seniors, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Gerontology and Aging Services to further pursue her mission to assist our elders. As a member of the board of directors of SOAR, her focus will be advocating for seniors as they navigate the complexities of aging while promoting elder justice in the Frederick County community. She is a committee member for the organization's annual fundraising event, A Toast to the Holidays. When Leigh isn't focusing on her senior outreach efforts, she likes to stay physically active. She's previously owned and operated two companies that provided fitness programs to ages 2-100. She no longer runs those businesses however, she still actively creates and implements corrective exercise programs for seniors.

Leslie Schultz

Leslie is the Founder of SOAR and served as the President of the board from 2013 - 2021. She currently serves as the Executive Director. A longtime human services professional, Leslie has worked in Frederick County's senior services industry since 2000. She is the current Chair of the Aging Network Alliance, past member of the Frederick County Commission on Aging, past Chair of the Elder Expo. She has also volunteered her time with the Alzheimer's Association's Memory Walk and Gala committees. She has a passion for working with and for older adults and strives to be a vehicle for change in the senior industry.

Lindsey McCormick

Lindsey McCormick has many years of health care industry experience that she brings to the company. In her experience, she's mainly focused on older adults to ensure they're getting the health care that they deserve. Recently, Lindsey has become a passionate advocate for brain health. In February 2021, Lindsey founded the Maryland Center for Brain Health which utilizes a systemic, functional, and research backed approach to address the root causes of cognitive dysfunction. The center's main goal is to aid clients in achieving optimal brain health and improve their quality of life. Lindsey is very excited and proud to bring this research-based protocol to the East Coast and teach people that a dementia diagnosis does not mean all hope is lost. Lindsey is delighted to be a SOAR board member and hopes to make a difference in lives our our seniors in the community through helping through positive change.

Rebecca Full

Rebecca is a ninth generation Fredericktonian. She has her MBA from Frostburg State University and spent her career predominately in finance & accounting. Most recently, she was the Program Manager for the VITA free tax program at United Way of Frederick County. This program offers free tax preparation for low income clients. In 2020, Rebecca was given United Way's BRAVO award for service to the VITA program. She also has been involved in the financial ministry at her church for many years. Rebecca has been the caregiver/POA for a severely brain-injured family member for almost 30 years, in addition to losing grandparents to Alzheimer's & dementia. These experiences have inspired her to help those that cannot speak for themselves.

Stacy Reno

  • Local Real Estate Agent With Century 21 Redwood Realty
Stacy is a local Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Redwood Realty here in Downtown Frederick. She is also the co-owner of Limelight Staged Homes and stages all of her listings for free. She is also a ILR instructor at Frederick Community College and teaches a class in Downsizing. Stacy is a member of the Women's Giving Circle, Impact Club and volunteers weekly at I Believe in Me, where she uses her former 1st grade teaching skills to tutoring students in reading. She is honored to be helping local Seniors through the SOAR program.

Tricia Cash

Tricia is currently employed with Frederick Health as a pharmacist, working with community physicians and other providers through the Frederick Integrated Health Network. She has worked in the long term care environment, a federally funded community health center,in both retail and hospital practice, and as an editor for pharmacy publications. She feels blessed to work at Frederick Health with an interdisciplinary team who makes a difference in patient's lives daily.
