Bonnie McLellan

Bonnie joined Bangor Wealth Management in April of 2018 as an Administrative Assistant. She grew up in New Hampshire but moved to Maine in 2008 to attend the University of Maine. She considers herself a lifelong learner and appreciates the idea of helping clients through financial education, which is why she joined BWM. Bonnie is often the face you'll see at the front desk and the voice you'll hear on the phone. She and her husband, Angus, live in Bangor and spend time adventuring and relaxing with their pets Simon, Ruby, Piper, Esme, and Tate.

David "Rod" Black

He became a financial advisor in 2007, after nearly 40 years in the electric utility industry as an accountant with Bangor Hydro Electric Company (now Versant Power), with the last 20 years as an Officer. He also served as Treasurer of the company's independent credit union. Rod draws from his extensive experience and education, having earned a Bachelor of Accounting and a Master of Science degrees from Husson College. While at Bangor Hydro, he graduated from the Stone and Webster Utility Management Program. Actively involved with his community, Rod served on the Holden Town Council for 9 years and was Chairman for 3 years. He is also the Advisory Board Chair at Eastern Maine Community College. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, and on the Board of the United Way of Eastern Maine. He is a former member of the Government Affairs Committee, where he was past chair and a member of the finance committee. When not serving his community or in the office, Rod can be found enjoying his free time on the golf course. Rod is a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Army from 1970-1972 and is a member of the American Legion Post 98 in Brewer, Maine. In 1979, Rod married the former Jane Clark from Lincoln, Maine. Rod and Jane currently reside in Holden, Maine and have two grown children, Stephanie and Anthony, and a special daughter-in-law Taylor. They also have three grandchildren, Max, Ellie & Charlotte (who are routinely in the office running the show.) Stephanie Black

Stephanie joined the team in November of 2019 as a CRM Specialist. She holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Southern New Hampshire University. In the office, her role is mostly behind the scenes, ranging from data entry to software management. She spends her time out of the office working for a locally owned specialty store, crocheting, learning to quilt, and doting on her nieces and nephew (Taylor's children & Rod's grandchildren).

Taylor Black - CMO

Taylor joined the team in May of 2017 and is the most tenured employee. Her current role is Director of Marketing. She comes from a finance background, with experience working at a bank and also managing a banking center. She graduated from Husson University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Her role includes marketing, communications, scheduling, and a wide variety of other administrative tasks. In 2022, Taylor joined the board of Empty Arms of Greater Bangor as their donations chair, overseeing all incoming donation requests. Taylor is married to Rod's son Anthony and has three children, Max, Ellie & Charlotte. The family lives in Hampden and spends their time playing with their dog, reading, going on outdoor adventures, playing board games, and eating Taylor's baked goods.
