Brendan McDonnell

Brendan is a Business Development Coordinator at BayLink Capital, responsible for deal sourcing and operational activities of the firm. Prior to joining BayLink Capital, Brendan was a Chief of Staff at Kite, a Series A funded startup using machine learning to help software engineers write code faster. Brendan built and managed the firm's sales, operations, and recruiting teams. Brendan holds a B.A in Sociology from Northeastern University Brendan lives in Philadelphia, where he is an MBA Candidate at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Brendan enjoys vegetarian cooking, organic gardening, and brushing up on his German language skills.

David Stafford

Dave is an Operating Director at Baylink Capital. He is a veteran financial and operational expert with over 25 years in the medical industry. He served as Physio-Control's EVP and CFO from 2012-2016, leading the successful separation from Medtronic, Inc. and subsequent sale to Stryker, Inc. After his Physio tenure, Dave spent several years working at Vyaire Medical before venturing out on his own. Earlier in his career, Dave enjoyed a progressive and successful tenure in numerous key finance roles within Medtronic. Prior to Medtronic, he has an extensive background and proven track-record of success in various finance roles at the University of Chicago, Section of Cardiology. Dave holds a B.S in Business from Western Illinois University and an MBA from University of Chicago. Dave lives in the Seattle suburbs with his wife Marcia. Outside of work, Dave enjoys watching sports, great food, and spending time with his family and friends.

Greg Why

Greg is an Operating Director at BayLink Capital, engaging in post-closing operational support at portfolio companies, business diligence, and various firm building activities. Prior to joining BayLink, Greg spent over 13 years at Bain Capital as an Operating Partner in the core private equity fund. He was focused on post-closing efforts to drive growth and optimize equity value across a range of portfolio companies, principally in consumer, industrial, and healthcare services. Activities included: development of growth roadmaps (organic, M&A), hands on support of specific initiatives, interim executive roles, executive hiring/talent development, and managing refinancing & sale processes/IPOs. He built strong relationships with portfolio company executives to drive change and performance, with an operating & investor mindset. Earlier in his career, Greg played various roles including Operating Partner, Principal and Vice President at two leading mid-market private equity firms-Parthenon Capital and Audax Group-where he was extensively involved in both deal execution and post-investment value creation activities. Coming out of business school, Greg spent four years at Bain & Company in Boston. Greg holds a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University, as well as an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Greg and his spouse of 25 years have recently become empty nesters, with two daughters in college. Activities include skiing, boating, track driving, and a mediocre game of golf. He is a resident of Wellesley MA and Wolfeboro NH, and a Board Member of City Year Boston.

James Woods

James is a Partner of BayLink Capital. His investment experience is wide ranging, spanning private equity and public markets roles in both US and emerging markets. Most recently, James was pursuing control investments of niche industrial and business services companies in the US. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Equity Research Analyst and Assistant Portfolio Manager at Driehaus Capital Management covering Materials, Energy, Industrials and Utilities equities globally. In that role, he was one of a team of seven investment professionals managing over $4 billion in client assets and sustaining top quartile returns during his tenure. Prior to Driehaus, James was a private equity investment professional at the IFC Asset Management Company, a leading emerging markets private equity firm and affiliate organization of the World Bank Group, where he was involved with several of the firm's investments and initiatives across Latin America and Asia. James holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Florida as well as an MS in Finance from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Business. James, his wife, and daughter have recently settled in the Bay Area and have enjoyed ensconcing themselves in the natural beauty of Northern California and exploring its varied attractions.

John Tudor

John is a Senior Advisor at BayLink Capital. He is an experienced investor and business analyst, with a twenty-five year career in private equity investing and management consulting. Most recently, John was a Managing Director at Friedman Fleischer & Lowe (FFL), a leading middle-market private equity firm based in San Francisco. Previously, he was a Principal at Bain Capital in Boston, where he worked for eight years in the private equity group on transactions in North America, Europe and Africa. John has worked on investments across a wide range of industries including retail and consumer, financial services, industrial, and technology. He has also served as a board member across a range of companies within these sectors. Prior to joining Bain Capital, John worked as a management consultant in Europe and Asia with Monitor Company. John received an MBA from the Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar, and earned an MA at Oxford University where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with B.Bus.Sci. (Hons) degree in Finance. John currently lives in Marin County, California with his wife and sons. Outside of work, John enjoys motorcycling on the scenic roads of Northern California.

Joseph Bondarenko - CFO

Joseph Bondarenko of White Oak Fund Services, LLC joined BayLink Capital in January 2020 in a fractional outsourced CFO capacity and is responsible for the financial, tax and operation of the firm. Previously Mr. Bondarenko has held positions as CFO of Halyard Capital, a Controller at American Securities, and a Vice President at Goldman Sachs. He began his career at Rothstein Kass and Deloitte and Touche.

Kaustuv Sen - CEO, Founder

Kaustuv is a founder and Partner of BayLink Capital, responsible for all day-to-day activities of the firm and a key decision-maker on all investment decisions. Prior to founding BayLink Capital, Kaustuv was a Partner at Blue Sea Capital, a growth-oriented lower middle market private equity firm. At Blue Sea Capital, Kaustuv focused on the firm's healthcare investing activities and was on the Board of Directors of Spectrum Vision Partners and Deca Dental. Before that, Kaustuv spent over a decade at Bain Capital, where he was a Principal in the firm's global private equity business, and a member of the firm's North American Healthcare and Financial & Business Services verticals. For a two year-period from 2008-2011, he was also a member of the initial team at Bain Capital's Mumbai office. During his tenure at Bain Capital, Kaustuv was involved in executing numerous investments, including several investments as a deal quarterback, with a focus on healthcare and financial services deals. Kaustuv also had significant roles leading operational and strategic initiatives at the companies he completed investments in, as well as at several additional portfolio companies. Kaustuv holds an AB in Economics from Harvard University as well as an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Kaustuv lives in San Francisco, and has been lucky to spend a lot of time in Sonoma during the pandemic. Outside of work, Kaustuv is passionate about the arts, living in new cities and countries, playing squash and hosting dinner parties. Since 2004, he has been involved in various capacities with the Acumen Fund, a social venture philanthropy firm that operates globally and brings the power of patient capital, investing and entrepreneurship to change the way the world tackles poverty.

Logan Vos - VP

Logan is a Vice President at BayLink Capital, responsible for supporting all day-to-day activities of the firm. Prior to joining BayLink Capital, Logan was a pre-MBA Associate at Cortec Group, a middle market private equity firm. At Cortec Group, Logan was responsible for evaluating and managing private equity investments. Prior to that, Logan was an Associate at Ottawa Avenue Private Capital (OAPC), where he was responsible for the execution and management of private equity and private credit investments. While at OAPC, Logan also worked closely with the firm's leadership to support fundraising and business development efforts. Before joining OAPC, Logan was an investment banking analyst at Rabobank, where he worked in the firm's New York office. Logan holds a BA in Mathematics and a BS in Accountancy from Trinity Christian College, as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School. Logan and his wife, Anneke, live in San Francisco. Outside of work, Logan enjoys playing golf and basketball, exploring the San Francisco culinary scene, and spending time with extended family from the Central Valley, where he grew up. Since 2019, Logan has been involved as a board member with 99 Farmers, a philanthropic venture that seeks to empower smallholder farmers in the developing world by leveraging the experience and resources of California's agricultural community.

Roman Margolin

Roman is currently an active angel investor in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as a Board member and advisor to several companies and private equity firms. Most recently, Roman was a Managing Director at Genstar Capital - one of the oldest private equity firms that manages over $30bn of assets in software, healthcare, financial services and industrial technology - where he worked for almost a decade. Roman was on their Investment Committee and led their Healthcare & Technology practice. During his tenure, Roman led two of the largest realized investments in the firm's history (Netsmart $1bn sale; and ERT $2bn sale) and was also a Board member of PRA (Nasdaq: PRAH) and ConnectiveRx. Prior to Genstar, Roman co-founded a software startup incubated at Lightspeed Venture Partners. He was also an investment banker with JPMorgan and Brown Gibbons Lang, where he began his career over two decades ago. He earned a BA in Economics from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. When he's not busy investing or advising others, Roman is a passionate soccer coach to both of his children and enjoys spending time with his family.
