In 1983, Henry Farm Center organized an IBM Dealership with a ValCom (Inacom Corp) Franchise. ValCom franchises were originally offered only to Valley Irrigation Dealers, which gave HFC a ground floor opportunity and an ideal situation for future growth. L. H. Killebrew seized that opportunity and opened his first ValCom location in Abbeville and quickly opened the first remote location in Auburn, Alabama.
