CONSCIOUS INVESTMENT SERVICES - Key Persons

After graduating with a degree in Finance, Real Estate and Law, Securities Analysis concentration from California State Polytechnic University Pomona, I started my career in a leading bank program. As my environmental awareness increased, I began to look at what was in the mutual funds that we all were recommending from a broader perspective. Realizing that the top holdings in most growth funds were companies involved in pesticides, oil and tobacco, I decided to take some time off to reevaluate my career path. I then learned about Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) where investments are analyzed for financial performance and also for environmental and social performance. I also learned that research on these types of investments showed that improved environmental and social performance is correlated with improved financial performance. After learning about SRI funds, I joined another bank investment group that offered SRI funds. With about 20 years of experience as a financial advisor and to gain more independence, I started my own firm, Conscious Investment Services, LLC to focus more on SRI, ESG and Environmental Conscious Investments that aligned with my values and the values of my clients. Being an independent advisor gives me the flexibility to invest more in research and find those companies that have the best chance of succeeding on the future while building sustainability. I live in San Diego with my wife, Kelli and two daughters, Emma and Mia. I think often about the world they will grow into and that is a big reason why I started this firm. Finance is about what we are going to do next. The future we invest in is, in a large way, the future we will create. Let's invest in the change we wish to see in this world!
