Cary Taylor

Cary joined Crossroads Real Estate Group as Director of Retail and Restaurant Services after working in and developing restaurants for over 16 years. As a chef in Chicago, Cary broke into the business working in the kitchen of internationally acclaimed chef Charlie Trotter. He continued his culinary education cooking under such noted chefs as James Beard Foundation Award winner Paul Kahan and Top Chef host Graham Elliot. He worked with Richard Melman as a corporate chef for his famed Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises group, assisting at Ambria, Mon Ami Gabi and FoodLife and participating in the development of The Reel Club and Hub 51. Cary's first taste of development came when he helped re-concept a Chicago fine dining restaurant into a bustling, raucous Southern whiskey bar in the aftermath of the downturn in 2010. He also teamed with the owners of Chicago's One Off Hospitality group to help oversee the commissary kitchen build out for Big Star Taqueria's expansion as well as restaurant design for the adjoining diner, Dove's Luncheonette. Cary has been an avid supporter of Meals on Wheels, Pilot Light, Alex's Lemonade Stand and No Kid Hungry. A native of Columbus, Georgia, Cary is married to Annie Ricci Taylor and has two daughters. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and is a passionate Georgia Bulldog football fan.

Charlie Lowe

Charlie began his career in retail development, leasing, and brokerage in 2013 with LEGACY Development, a national development firm. As a paid intern he was initially tasked with market research, updating proformas, and small shop leasing across LEGACY's Kansas City area portfolio. Within his first year, Charlie executed multiple leases at Wyandotte Plaza (210,000 sf grocery-anchored strip center located in Kansas City, KS) and Truman's Marketplace (395,000 sf power center located in Grandview, MO), two of Kansas City's highest-profile redevelopments that year, and was hired as a leasing associate. In 2016 Charlie was promoted to Senior Leasing Manager and assumed the lead leasing role for The Streets of Brentwood (500,000 sf lifestyle center in Brentwood, CA), Ward Parkway Center (550,000 sf power center and enclosed mall), and Liberty Commons (325,000 sf power center located in Liberty, MO). His persistence, competitiveness, and tenacity helped him land five first-to-market restaurant concepts at the Ward Parkway Center's Restaurant Pavilion and over of 95,000 sf worth of new tenants to the project in total. In January of 2018, Charlie joined Crossroads Real Estate Group (CREG) as a Partner. Since joining Crossroads Charlie has played a critical role in leasing ground-up developments (Summit Orchard 110,000 sf power center, Phase II Prairiefire (100,000 SF+ mixed-use project), expanding the companies tenant rep presence within the small business community, and bolstering CREG's retail listings through his relationships with 18th &; Vine stakeholders, Pulse Development (Westport's largest property owner), and Mac Properties (Midtown's largest mixed-use developer). Charlie grew up about an hour and a half northwest of Kansas City in Maryville, MO. As a two sport all-conference and all-district athlete, he went on to play football at Northwest Missouri State University where he was a member of the 2009 National Championship team. While at Northwest Charlie was also a member of the political science club and received a BS in political science with a minor in international relations. With a passion for community building Charlie is currently a board member for Urban Rangers Corps, Black Excellence KC, and Troost Market Collective.

Connor Weltmer

John Nolan

John Nolan started his career in retail development, leasing and brokerage in 2002 with D.J. Christie, Inc., a regional development firm with strong relationships to top retailers. John was intimately involved with all phases of the development process: site selection, public financing, construction, leasing, management and disposition. He oversaw four Town Center projects and multiple small projects during his eight years with D.J. Christie, Inc. Through this, he gained a thorough understanding of retail development and ownership and learned the formula to make it a profitable venture. Hard work and reaching the team's goals have always been his forte. In 2010 John became a partner at DLM Commercial where he focused heavily on tenant representation throughout the recession and had some of his best years; successfully representing national, regional and local retailers and restaurants. John then started the retail division at Lee & Associates, Kansas City, where he was a partner of the firm and oversaw the recruitment of new brokers and the growth of the retail division. He also assisted in a $30 million industrial development. In addition to new development, John brokered over $125 million in acquisitions. In 2017, John started Crossroads Real Estate Group and has continued to lead the firm to year over year growth. John's focus at Crossroads Real Estate Group is working with the best fit of developers, investors, tenants and landlords for the company.

Todd Weltmer

Todd Weltmer began his commercial real estate career in 2006 with Commercial Property Solutions, a regional general contracting and commercial real estate firm. Before moving over to Crossroads, he was Partner and Managing Broker at Parkway Real Estate & Development in Kansas City for seven years. Before Parkway, Todd worked for a range of larger, national firms and smaller, locally owned real estate firms. Since he began his commercial real estate career, Todd has been involved in transactions totaling over $200 million. Todd came to the real estate industry after spending three years as a scientist studying Reproductive Physiology at KU Medical Center, and Heart Disease at the University of Minnesota in the Biochemistry Department, Todd started his first company selling technology solutions to private and public companies, government entities, and state universities across the country. He's worked in multiple high-tech verticals as a business development executive with these endeavors taking him across the globe. Todd was born and raised in the Kansas City area and resides in Shawnee. He is married to Kirsten, a physician at Children's Mercy, and they have two children, Connor & Kiera. Todd enjoys CrossFit, bow-hunting, traveling and watersports. He and his wife are involved in their local church and volunteer their time and resources in various ministries including: YoungLife, Kids Across America, Kanakuk, One Life and more. Todd graduated with a dual major from Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis with a BA in History and Business.
