Andy Barwise originally came to de Montfort in 1995. He spent a couple of years working at other practices before returning in 1999.
His special interests are soft tissue surgery and rabbit medicine.

Anna qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and joined de Montfort in September 2019. She has a postgraduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine and has a keen interest in endocrinology and gastrointestinal disease.
At home Anna has a Border Terrier called Oscar and a cat called Daphne. In her spare time, Anna enjoys embroidery and horse riding.
Annabel graduated from the Royal Veterinary College and became one of our Vets in August 2017. However, she is not a new face to the practice as she had been our Vet student for 3 years. She enjoys many aspects of Veterinary work, and has a keen interest in dentistry.
In her spare time, she can be found in the gym and enjoys travelling.
Briony graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2022. She grew up in the area and returned here to the practice. Briony enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a keen interest in surgery.
In her spare time Briony enjoys knitting and motorsports!

Catherine Payne is a Clinical Director at de Montfort. She qualified from Bristol University in 1994 and came to the surgery as a new graduate. She has a particular interest in veterinary medicine, especially feline.

Clare has been de Montfort's receptionist since 2000. During that time she has learnt how to run many areas of the practice. Working on reception allows her to interact with people and their pets.
She has a keen interest in cat behaviour and loves spending time with her two cats, Boris and Noodle Monkey Trousers!

Clive Shepherd is a Clinical Director at de Montfort who also runs our Pershore branch. He joined the practice in 1983 and undertook mostly large animal work.
More recently he has taken a step away from farm work and into small animal practice, where he particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery and obstetrics.
Elmari joined the practice in May 2017 as one of our receptionists. Being originally from South Africa, Elmari has lived and worked in the UK for the past 15 years.
Gemma is our head nurse who joined the practice in 2002, as a trainee, and qualified in 2006. She has a keen interest in feline medical nursing and uses her wealth of experience to act as a clinical coach, training the next generation of nurses here at deMontfort.
Gemma likes to relax in her spare time, walking and looking after her two cats, Harry and Albus.

Kayleigh qualified as an RVN in 2022 after being in practice for many years as a veterinary assistant. She has a keen interest in exotics and doesn't shy away from a challenge.
Kayleigh has recently started her new business in home improvements and has helped out with many "odd jobs" and decorating around the practice. When she isn't busy working one of her 2 jobs, she is often found camping, walking or spending time with her cats.

Kenelm Lewis is a Clinical Director of de Montfort Veterinary Hospital, joining the practice in 1979. He was awarded a RCVS post graduate certificate in radiology in 1984.
His main area of interest is surgery, especially orthopaedics. He was President of the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons in 2003.
