The COVID panademic has exposed the necessity of upgrading the income of "essential workers", a sanatized way of referring to the hardest working and lowest paid workers in America. Unfortunately, it appears that any progress made is being undone by rampant inflation. The corporations will crow about raising essential worker wages, as they quietly raise their prices to compensate for the additional expense of paying their employees a living wage with a minimal effect on their bottom lines.
