ELISPROGRAM

In Skelleftea we have a broad competence in electrification. Adding current sustainability investments at the municipality's airport, unique conditions are created for business development linked to electrified aviation... We can offer support with financing through national and EU funds by development programs and projects that we apply for. We also structure a set of accelerator programs... The development program was launched in 2021 to help speed up the way to commercialization of battery and hydrogen electric aircraft, eVTOLs, drones and supporting infrastructure in Skellefteå. The ambition is to become an early adopter of electric aviation and a leading hub in the research and development of electrified aviation in Sweden and beyond. The best way to innovate and push boundaries forward is to collaborate and work together in partnership. ELIS program is run by Skellefteå Science City, together with Skellefteå municipality, Skellefteå Kraft and Skellefteå Airport.
