EUROPEAN ACADEMY OF CANCER SCIENCES

The European Academy of Cancer Sciences (EACS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization composed of eminent oncologists and cancer researchers that aims at reducing the incidence and suffering caused by cancer in Europe... The European Academy of Cancer Sciences is an independent advisory body of eminent oncologists and cancer researchers, placing science at the core of policies to sustainably reduce the death and suffering caused by cancer in Europe... The EACS was founded in 2009 by the European CanCer Organization (ECCO) following a proposal from Julio Celis. In May 2017, the EACS became a Swedish legal structure, "ideell förening," an independent association with the administration in Stockholm, Sweden. Since 2021 the EACS has also had an office in Brussels, Belgium, at the Fondation Universitaire.
