FOG COAST PRODUCTIONS - Key Persons

Andrew Klein - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Co - Founder
  • Executive Producer
Andrew is a bonafide creator. He recalls his obsession with making videos beginning in a High School film class; when a 3-minute short film assignment was inadvertently transformed into a 30-minute documentary. Thus, the obsession was born…and 10 years, 2 countries, 4 production houses, and hundreds of videos later, Fog Coast Productions opened it's doors. Growing up in the Silicon Valley, Andrew has always been surrounded by innovation and creation. He credits the culture and unique approach of Fog Coast Productions to his eclectic blend of large and startup company marketing, media and PR experience, enormously talented mentors and colleagues, and a driving passion for travel, love of people and, quite simply, making great stories come life. He's worked on over 100 large scale productions in just about any role you could think of. Seriously…ask him about the time he wore a gorilla suit in a Mercedes Benz commercial, or when he spent a full day repeatedly dumping boxed mashed potato flakes over actors' heads to create the effect of snow. In other words, it wasn't always glamorous, but it was the type of work that exposed him to seasoned directors and producers around the Bay Area and eventually got him shooting and editing videos for organizations like The San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, NBC Sports, Ford, Foster Farms, and Glassdoor. Today, Andrew is our in-house Executive Producer at Fog Coast, which is a fancy way of saying he's responsible for getting your project done on time, on budget, and on point with your goals and objectives. Always open for a good conversation, Andrew loves discussing any project, whether you're just developing an idea or ready for production he'd love to hear from you.

Steve Cook - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Co - Founder
  • Creative Director
  • 3D Animator
From collegiate baseball player to 3D animator, Steve has walked an unusual path into the world of video production. This Bay Area native has an unrelenting thirst for knowledge, especially in the world of 2D and 3D graphics. Before co-founding Fog Coast, Steve was working alongside PhD's in computer science creating 3D conversational avatars that may someday take over the world. He'll deny any responsibility. Now he spends his days creating beautiful animations and solving technical challenges that inevitably arise in production. He's also an FAA certified drone pilot. He boasts only spending two days to study and pass the FAA exam (most people spend weeks). The amount of coffee he drinks might account for his speedy certification as well as his daring flight maneuvering. One of Steve's strongest attributes is his ability to learn anything and everything related to his interests. Whether its discovering physics systems in 3D animation software or learning how to color correct shots, he will dive right in and get down to the bottom of it. One of our philosophies is "If someone has figured it out, we can too" and Steve demonstrates this motto everyday.
