I use Microsoft Access as a platform since it is an extremely powerful tool. It is the most widely used database system and since there are so many developers, you will always be able to get support for your database. Most of my clients are quite local and so I am not just a voice at the end of the phone. However, I do have clients further away that I provide systems and support for using remote control software.
