Casey P. Meyers

Casey P. Meyers is the Managing Shareholder of Manning & Meyers and is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Property Owners Association Law. Casey has extensive experience and focuses on assisting homeowners' associations and condominium associations in a wide variety of practice areas, such as covenant enforcement, assessment collections, and amendments to dedicatory instruments. He also assists many of our clients with their litigation and transactional matters. Casey has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 2006 and has devoted his entire legal career to collections and the representation of property owners associations. Since creating Manning & Meyers, Casey has helped bring on new clients and currently represents over 700 property owners associations. He prides himself on his ability to take on a matter and represent his clients to the fullest in an expedient manner. Casey received his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law in 2005 where he focused on corporate and real estate law. Casey is an active triathlete. He has competed in numerous Ironman 70.3 races and has qualified and raced in the ITU Long Course World Championships. Casey is very active within the community association industry and devotes much of his time to educating homeowners and industry professionals about the legal issues affecting community associations. He is a member of the Texas Bar College and was one of the first attorneys in Texas to have the distinction of being Board Certified in Property Owners Association Law.

Jack Manning

Jack Manning is the Senior Shareholder of Manning & Meyers. Jack is recognized as one of the industry's most experienced and well-respected attorneys. He is well known by the Courts in Dallas, Collin, Tarrant, & Denton Counties, as he has been trying cases for over 55 years. Since Jack's admission to the State Bar of Texas in 1966, he has devoted his entire legal career to litigation, evictions, collections, and the representation of property owners associations. He is currently serving as counsel for some of North Texas' largest and most prestigious associations. He has represented countless residential subdivisions and condominiums in matters relating to the interpretation and enforcement of governing documents, contracts, governmental negotiations, and major renovation projects. He has also successfully litigated many significant cases. Jack earned a track & field scholarship to Baylor University. He graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He then received his Bachelor of Law from Baylor University School of Law in 1966 and thereafter his Juris Doctorate in 1969. Jack is an avid runner. He has consistently been ranked as one of the top middle-distance runners in his age group in the central Texas area. He has competed in and won an innumerable number of races. He stays very active by running the Katy Trail and the stadium steps at SMU. Jack remains very active in the community association industry and is devoted to advancing its professional standards. Jack is a Senior Fellow of the Texas Bar College and volunteers with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP). He has been consistently volunteering with DVAP since 2014 and has received numerous awards for his pro bono work. Lance J. Erickson

Lance J. Erickson is a partner at Manning & Meyers and focuses his practice on representing landlords, developers, and property owners associations. He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Residential Real Estate. He manages all eviction, bankruptcy, and litigation cases for Manning & Meyers. Out of law school, Lance worked for a large consumer bankruptcy firm where he represented more than 700 individuals and small businesses seeking bankruptcy protection in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. He was then employed at a national real estate firm representing major financial institutions, government-sponsored entities, and mortgage servicers throughout the State of Texas in bankruptcy, civil, and eviction matters. Lance received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 2005 and played for the BYU football team. He received his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2010. Lance is fluent in Russian, having served for two years in Moscow, Russian Federation as a missionary. He is a true crime fan and enjoys books, documentaries, and podcasts on the subject. Lance has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since May 2010. He is also a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar College, and is Board Certified in Residential Real Estate.

Philip S. Traynor

Philip S. Traynor is a senior associate at Manning & Meyers, where he focuses on real estate litigation. Prior to joining Manning & Meyers, Philip was Texas managing attorney for a national law firm representing major banks and financial institutions, mortgage servicers and government-sponsored entities in Texas, Florida, Oklahoma and Alaska. Philip has extensive experience arguing his clients' cases from Dallas County Justice of the Peace Courts to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Philip is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping and hiking. He is on a quest with his family to visit all 63 national parks in the United States and enjoys exploring the wild places around Texas. Philip earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and then spent several years as a paralegal in Fairbanks, Alaska. Philip graduated cum laude from Florida State University College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review and Articles and Notes Editor for the Journal of Environmental Law and Policy.
