Sasha joined the Inshes Vets team in February 2024, she was previously working in human healthcare admin and sales for the past 3 years. She has a menagerie of her own animals which keep her busy, consisting of 4 dogs - a miniature poodle, two standard poodles and a border collie, as well as 4 horses. Sasha's spare time consists of looking after the horses and riding out around the Scottish countryside.

Arabella Pearce

Arabella joined the Inshes team as a new graduate in September 2023 after graduating from Glasgow Vet school in May 2023. She enjoys all aspects of first opinion practice but has a particular interest in ophthalmology. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, playing netball, swimming and going out on her paddleboard.

Arianne Hutcheson RVN

Arianne joined Inshes Vets in 2016 after qualifying in 2013 from North Highland College. Previous to this she worked in mixed practice here in the highlands. She has a keen interest in wound management and training student vet nurses. Outside of work, she enjoys cloud watching and spending time with her two small rescue terriers Max and Judy. As well as being kept busy with her family.

Carol Johnson

Carol started here in Spring 2023 to work on Saturday mornings. The team have been really welcoming and though busy, everyone is lovely and patient, explaining anything that is new. She just loves the pets and falls in love every week multiple times. Originally from Barra, she is fluent in Gaelic and she can usually spot a fellow speaker so it's nice to bring that to reception.

Caroline Dickson

Caroline joined Inshes Vets in 2013, having previously worked in a customer service role gaining many years' experience and a passion for delivering exceptional client care. Caroline is responsible for the day to day running of the practice and looking after the wellbeing of our clients and staff. She is very proud to be part of an amazing team at Inshes Vets, that care so passionately about the pets they treat and look after. Caroline has two rescue collie dogs, who are very lovable and have fantastic personalities. In addition, she likes to spend her time walking them and seeing all the lovely places we are very fortunate to live so close too.

Charlotte Grime

Charlotte joined the Inshes team in February 2021 after graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2018. Prior to settling in Inverness, Charlotte worked in Manchester and Falkirk. She enjoys all areas of first opinion practice. Outside of work she enjoys cold water swimming, hillwalking, running and spending time with her lovely grey cat called Ethan.

Charlotte Munro

Charlotte used to work out of front at the practice as part of our reception team, she now works alongside the nursing team as an animal care assistant. Charlotte loves interacting with people and meeting all the new additions. She previously worked as an animal care assistant at another practice, which she done for 6 years. She started working for Inshes Vets in 2021 and is really enjoying it. In her spare time, she loves dog walking and has a loveable pointer cross and a cheeky Patterdale. Between her dogs and horse riding she is kept very busy.

Chloe Maclean RVN

Chloe studied at North Highland College and graduated in February 2021. During her qualification, Chloe trained here as a student vet nurse and joined the Inshes team as an RVN after qualifying. She loves all areas of general practice but has a keen interest in lab work and medical nursing. Chloe is also one of the Clinical Supervisors for the student nurses in practice where she enjoys teaching. Outside of work, Chloe is a keen adventurer where you can find her cold water swimming or exploring the outdoors with her springer spaniel Caesar. Chloe also spends most her evenings dancing, Ballroom and Latin.

Claire Allison RVN

Claire was a student at the College of Animal Welfare in Huntingdon and graduated in 2005. She worked in Lincolnshire before joining the Inshes Vets team in 2015. In practice, Claire runs our in-house laboratory, doing quality control assessments, stock control and maintenance. She also has a keen interest in nurse consulting, running our weight clinics here at Inshes Vets. Outside of work, Claire enjoys family time and walking or running with her springer spaniel Hamish.

Elise Duncan RVN

Elise studied at North Highland College UHI in Thurso and recently qualified in April 2023. She joined the Inshes Vets team at the beginning of her vet nurse training in September 2020. She enjoys all areas of practice but has a keen interest in anaesthesia and caring for small furries and would like to pursue further study on both areas. Outside of work, Elise enjoys weightlifting and adventuring with her two Labradors, Archie and Flora. She is also kept busy with her two rescue rabbits, Honey and Marshall!

Fraser Martens BVSc

Fraser graduated from Pretoria University in South Africa. Since graduating, Fraser has worked in rural mixed practice and charity work in South Africa, he also ventured to England to work. Fraser has since moved to Scotland and joined the Inshes team in 2023. He enjoys walking in the hills and exploring.

Gail MacKinlay

Gail graduated from Edinburgh University in 2008, and then worked in Colorado, USA; Northumberland; and the Highlands before joining Inshes in 2019. At Inshes she enjoys all aspects of general practice, especially dentistry and care of the older patient. In her spare time she loves to be outdoors: skiing, cycling, running, canoeing and camping adventures with her dogs Skeeter and Rogue.

Heather Strachan

Heather joined Inshes Vets in November 2020. She loves being a part of the Inshes Family and being front of house meeting our clients and their pets. In her spare time she is kept busy walking her two German Shepherds Alfie and Bear and her new grandson Reggie.

Isobel Thomson BVSc

Isobel graduated from Bristol University in 2022 and moved up to join Inshes Vets shortly after. After some time in general practice she will specialise in surgery. When not at the clinic, her time is mostly spent kitesurfing or in the hills.

Jamie Shearer

Jamie graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2003 and worked in various practices including the PDSA and abroad in Australia before coming to Inshes Vets in 2015. As Clinical director of Inshes Vets he doesn't have much spare time but when he does he likes to spend time with his family and Labrador Leyla.

Joanne Patience

Joanne studied in Glasgow and qualified in 2008. Before joining Inshes Vets in 2017, Joanne worked at Strathspey Veterinary Centre. Joanne enjoys all aspects of the job, however her main interest in surgery. Outside of work, travelling and cooking (and drinking) is Joanne's favourite things, along with spending time with her collie Jess.

Johan MacLennan RVN

Johan graduated in 2006. She has worked in a range of practices including PDSA hospitals and specialist referral practices. She joined Inshes in 2022. Johan's main interests are in anaesthesia, emergency and critical care. She holds a certificate in Anaesthesia. Outside of work, she enjoys CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, and wildlife photography. At home she has an ample collection of waifs and strays with 4 dogs, 2 cats (both tri-pawed!) 3 ducks and a snake.

Kirsty Sinclair

Qualified in 2003 from Edinburgh and have worked in small animal, mixed and referral practice, locumed in Australia and New Zealand. Has an NCert in Animal Behaviour (canine and feline) and am currently studying applied equine behaviour. Outside of work enjoy spending time with my family and friends, travel, live music, festivals and hanging out with my beasties - Bear the labradoodle, Pirlo the cat and Eclipse the horse.

Laura MacLaren RVN

Laura studied at Telford College in Edinburgh and then Qualified in 2017. She previously trained in Dunfermline and then went on to work in Crown Vets. Laura joined the Inshes team in 2018 and then went on to become Head Veterinary Nurse in August 2022. Laura holds an additional qualification in hydrotherapy that she attained in 2019. She really enjoys the out of hour's emergency work and has an interest in both surgical nursing and rehabilitation. Outside of work, she enjoys going for walks with her rescue dog Belle and spending the rest of her spare time with her horse called Brian.

Lisa Pasieka

Lisa started with the Inshes Vets family in August 2023 but has previous veterinary reception experience of 6 and a half years with a different practice, but has now progressed to Head Receptionist. She always greets our clients with a smile & loves meeting all the patients. In her spare time, she is usually out walking her two lovable collies Ted & Una or up in the hills with her partner.

Louise Jolliffe

After graduating from Glasgow Vet School in 2002, Louise worked in mixed practice in the Midlands, before moving to the highlands when she joined Inshes Vets in 2014. Louise is interested in all aspects of first opinion practice but particularly enjoys consulting and dentistry. At home, Louise enjoys being outdoors and going on adventures with her three dogs Betty, Marni and Sula.

Lynda Gillies

Lynda comes from Edinburgh. She graduated BSc from Edinburgh University in 1995 and went on to complete her veterinary degree at Edinburgh Vet School. A keen hill walker, Lynda enjoys fitness activities, particularly cycling and swimming.

Lynsey started at Inshes Vets in Dec 2023 having been self-employed for several years and absolutely loves her job. She is a huge animal lover and is kept busy with her 3 horses, one of which she competes in Endurance riding, her 2 working cockers and two cats. Meeting and greeting all the clients and their pets is the highlight of her job.

Megan Murray RVN

Megan studied at North Highland College, Thurso. She joined Inshes as a student at the beginning of her training in September 2020 and graduated in April 2023. Since then, she has been working with us as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Her interests expand to all areas of Nurse but particularly enjoys meeting clients and pets within consultations and putting together pet's prescriptions in dispensary. She is also keen to do further study on exotics and dental health. Outside of work Megan enjoys hillwalking, cycling, drawing and getting stuck into a good book. She also has a Chihuahua with an attitude called Sam.

Rhonda Hobbs

Rhonda has worked at Inshes Vets since July 2023 but before that, she worked at another vet practice for 1 year. Rhonda brings more than 20 years of experience in the administrative field. Rhonda is originally from Canada but has lived in the UK for over 20 years. She is a wife, mother and has a chocolate lab named Heather. She enjoys being part of our reception team and greeting the clients, especially cuddles from the puppies and kittens. In her spare time she enjoys walks with her dog and gardening. She has found that she's good at carpentry and has built some furniture and a custom made shed.

Sylwia Piaskowska

Sylwia graduated from Warsaw University of Life Sciences in 2011. She worked in various locations in UK since 2012 and joined Inshes Vets in May 2022. Sylwia achieved Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2021. Currently she is studying towards postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Cardiology with University of Liverpool. Her main interest at work is heart diseases and complex medical cases. Sylwia's hobby is jogging and reading books. She owns tabby cat called Jasper.

Tanya Derrick RVN

Tanya studied nursing at Nottingham Trent University, obtaining her degree in 2015. She has previously worked in first-opinion small animal and mixed practices, as well as orthopaedic referral and exotics specialists. She joined the Inshes Vets team in early 2022. She holds a Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care medicine but enjoys all areas of nursing. In her spare time she enjoys wild swimming and beach walks with her senior dog Kaytee. When able, she volunteers with BDMLR as a marine medic and is currently working towards a diploma in marine biology.
