I have years of experience, and in my first career I was the expert, the one that others turned to for advice, knowledge, and answers. My opinions were well respected by my management, and my input was valued. I realize that, in a new career, I need to start at the bottom again. No longer an expert, but one who needs to learn and grow in my chosen new career. That thought doesn't scare me the way I thought it would; it actually excites me... At a very young age, I discovered a love for maps on a road trip with my family. My family had an RV and every summer we would spend two or three weeks driving around America. One day my Dad took a free map from a welcome center and gave it to me. My Mom taught me how to read the map, and find out where we were on the map. I asked all kinds of questions and began to explore the idea of "map".
