Larah Thexton

Larah is our legal secretary who has recently started with our firm in 2023. Whilst Larah is new to the legal world after recently finishing year 12 last year, she actively shares our core values of loyalty, justice and empowerment, and ensure these values play an integral role in her everyday life as a legal secretary. Larah brings managerial experience through her time at McDonalds and is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws through Swinburne University, an area she has enjoyed throughout her schooling completing accelerate studies in law through her final years of schooling. In her spare time if she isn't completing her University work, Larah is helping her Grandparents on their dairy farm.

Marli Caile

Marli started with McFarlane Criminal Lawyers as a work experience student working one day a week from September 2022 after finishing her Bachelor of Laws and was admitted to practice in September 2023. Marli studied a double Bachelor of Arts and Law degree at ACU. During her studies she volunteered at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre providing support to clients seeking asylum. Since getting admitted as an Australian Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Marli has hit the ground running. Her outstanding work ethic, knowledge, and passion for justice is unmatched and makes Ms Caile a rare gem within the legal industry. We are so grateful that Marli chose McFarlane Criminal Lawyers and cannot wait to see her flourish into one of the best criminal defence solicitors in Gippsland.

Naomi Allardyce

Naomi, our practice manager, started with our firm in 2019. She shares our companies values of loyalty, justice, and empowerment, and ingrains those values into every interaction she has. She prides herself on her desire to treat every individual with respect and ensures they are understood. Naomi leads our team with passion and integrity, she strives to ensure that our business remains ethical and honest. Naomi is in her final year of her Bachelor of Laws through Deakin University and has a Bachelor of Criminology with a major in Behavioural Studies through Federation University. This gives her an insight into offending behaviour so that we can tailor our services to meet the needs of our vulnerable clients. Naomi has also completed her Diploma of Leadership and Management, and successfully completed her Practice Management Certificate through Leo Cussen. Naomi is an integral part of the team at McFarlane Criminal Lawyers and will ensure our company retains its integrity. In her spare time, Naomi enjoys playing netball for the Warragul Gulls Football Netball Club, where she is also the Netball President.

Tam Wray

Tam started with our firm in August 2023 after finishing her Bachelor of Laws with Distinction in June 2023 and was admitted to practice in 2024. Tam shares our companies' values of loyalty, justice, and empowerment in her everyday interaction with people in her role as trainee lawyer. Tam has come to us with a strong background in people relations. Having worked in the city with top tier management companies, Tam has chosen to give back to the community in which she resides. Tam was also an integral part of University life in her role as a Peer Assisted Study Session leader at Central Queensland University. Tam was honoured at her University Graduation Ceremony to be the Graduate Representative Speaker sharing a quote from Legally Blonde from whom inspired her that faith in yourself means anything is possible. "It is with passion, courage of conviction, and a strong sense of self that we take our next steps into the world, remembering that first impressions rare not always correct. You must always have faith in people. And most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself."
