Kevin LaDuke joined MACF in November 2019 as the Communications Officer. A Beaverton native, he graduated from Delta College with degrees in electronic media broadcasting, film, and creative writing. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kevin was a video production assistant with the City of Midland. His responsibilities include managing the communications, marketing, public relations projects, and implementing appropriate pieces of the Foundation's strategic plan.

Kristin Sovis joined MACF as Postsecondary Education Leader in August of 2022. A Saginaw native and long-time Midlander, Kristin has been a public educator in Michigan for 18 years. Most recently, Kristin was a teacher educator at Central Michigan University, instructing courses and coordinating K-12 clinical fieldwork opportunities for education students. In her 6 years at CMU, she most enjoyed teaching developmental writers in partnership with CMU Writing Center student tutors. Prior to this, she did similar work at Saginaw Valley State University and at Western Michigan University. And before her journey as a teacher educator began, Kristin taught high school English for 6 years at H. H. Dow High School.
Kyle Fahrner joined MACF in January of 2020 as the Chief Financial Officer. A Saginaw native and life long Mid-Michigan resident, he graduated from Northwood University in 2008, earning a MBA with a concentration in Finance. Kyle and his wife Tina have lived in Midland since 2009. He's been serving on the Board of Directors at the Arnold Center since 2016 and has over ten years of experience in banking and corporate treasury. His responsibilities include overseeing all financial services including accounting, financial planning and budgeting; monitoring of investment and custody services; development of financial and administrative systems; and employee benefits administration; and maintaining the general operations of the Foundation.

Luiz Quellis joined the Midland Area Community Foundation in June of 2020 as the Finance Manager. A Brazilian native and +15-year resident of Midland, he earned the equivalents of Bachelor in Accounting and Business Administration degrees and a Master of Business Administration in Finance degree from Brazilian Universities. He has extensive global financial analysis experience in the manufacturing industry, working at Dow Silicones Corporation (previously, Dow Corning). He is responsible for managing the MACF's accounting functions and compliance, including support to the financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities under the CFO's direction to further the growth and development of the organization.

Nicole Morreale joined Midland Area Community Foundation in June 2021 as the Executive Assistant to the CEO. Although a Northern Michigan native, she is a die-hard Midlander and loves her community. She is an advocate for Midland Area Youth Football League (MAYFL), she volunteers through Family & Children Services at the Mom Prom, and she is a Midland County United Way Ambassador. Prior to joining the Foundation, Nicole worked at Dow as an Administrative Assistant for Market Sell, Mergers, and Acquisitions and most recently the HR Department supporting several global directors.
Raquel Brown joined the Community Foundation in October of 2022 as Director of Development. Raquel earned bachelor's degrees in banking & finance, business management, international business, and economics from Northwood University. Her previous work experience is in finance, most notably with Members First Credit Union. Raquel has a passion for volunteerism and community involvement. She has been active with Junior Achievement, Midland Young Professionals (MYPros), the Midland Business Alliance's Ambassador program, Midland County ESA, Boy Scouts of America, and The Noon Exchange Club of Midland. Raquel has a passion for working in a collaborative environment where she can be a part of teams that provide an impact much greater than one individual can accomplish on their own.
Sharon Mortensen joined MACF in June of 2012 as the President/CEO. She has a Bachelor's Degree in communications from Defiance College and a Master's Degree in counseling from the University of Texas, Permian Basin. Her responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of operation for the foundation. She works to provide philanthropic leadership to strengthen our community by fostering collaboration and giving today and in the future. She loves doing all she can to enrich and improve the quality of life in Midland. As well as her work at the foundation, she is active in many community organizations, boards and in a Christian ministry. She believes that the greatest joy in life comes from giving and serving and seeks opportunities to do that.
