Alexis Wales

Alexis brings to Montecito more than two decades of accounting experience, including 16 years focused in the real estate industry. Most of her real estate experience involves the healthcare field, while she also has been involved with residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use real estate. In her role at Montecito, Alexis utilizes her expertise in institutional financial reporting, budget/forecasting, internal and external audits, as well as tax review and specializes in joint venture equity accounting.

Ashley Lynn

Ashley Lynn serves as a key member of Montecito's asset management team, focusing specifically on relationships with the company's institutional capital partners. Prior to joining the company, she was a Senior Director for a large real estate investment trust. During her career, she has managed more than 16 million square feet of real estate, including four million square feet of medical assets. Ashley holds a Master's degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a Bachelor's degree from Colby College.

Blake Wylie - CTO

Wylie brings to the company two decades of experience in managing information systems and technology. At Montecito, he oversees and will push forward all aspects of technology, from infrastructure to applications and product development. Before joining Montecito, Wylie served as Director of Information Technologies for Lipman Brothers, Tennessee's oldest distributor of wine, spirits and craft beer. He oversaw all of the company's IT infrastructure, business intelligence, applications and software development as well as social media, digital and video content. Wylie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in CIS and Business from the University of North Alabama.

Brandi Meeks - CMO

Meeks brings to Montecito 17 years of experience in marketing with expertise in the financial services sector. Before joining Montecito, she headed Wealth & Asset Management marketing for Informa Financial Intelligence, a leading financial data and analysis provider. Prior to Informa, she served as Senior Marketing Manager for Zephyr Associates, an investment analysis software company based in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. Meeks is an active member of the American Marketing Association, Nashville Chapter, and holds a B.A. in communications from the University of Memphis.

Brian Maas - Chief Legal Officer, EVP

Brian Maas brings to the office of General Counsel over two decades of experience in representing clients in the healthcare real estate industry. In addition to his time spent in private practice, he served for 14 years as senior in-house counsel at one of the nation's largest publicly-traded healthcare real estate investment trusts, where he was responsible for, among other things, the legal structuring and execution of approximately $20 billion of acquisitions and $2 billion of dispositions. Brian obtained his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Bryan Brown

Bryan has dedicated 30 years to working with business owners as a trusted advisor in strategic and industry-consolidation M & A. He specializes in creating off-market opportunities and has completed hundreds of company valuations and has successfully represented clients on both buy and sell sides. Bryan has also filled senior operational and leadership roles in fast growth companies, including personal ventures, VC-financed start-ups, international aid projects in Afghanistan, and with the Conks' first success - their relationship spans over twenty years.

Bryan Skelton - CFO, EVP

Bryan is an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented financial executive with over 20 years of leadership experience and management responsibilities in finance, business development and administration for nationally-recognized, multi-location operators in the healthcare industry. Bryan's expertise is in strategic planning, investor relations, capital formation, financial reporting, budgets/forecasts and real estate development. Prior to joining Montecito in January 2018, Bryan's career has been primarily in executive finance or development positions with Nashville-based companies in the behavioral health (ChanceLight), outpatient services (Surgis, Inc.) and physician practice management (OrthoLink Physicians Corp.) sectors. He began his career as a CPA and auditor in the Nashville office of Deloitte & Touche where he led audit engagements for healthcare and entertainment industry clients. While with ChanceLight, Bryan was named the Nashville Business Journal CFO of the Year for 2011. Bryan graduated magna cum laude from Lipscomb University in 1995 where he was an all-conference and academic All-American baseball player. He remains active in the community where serves on the alumni board of Lipscomb University and volunteers with a local non-profit. Bryan and his wife, Jennifer, live in Nashville with their four children and he enjoys playing golf in his free time.

Chris brings to Montecito more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate. Before joining Montecito, he served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Dispositions for Hendricks Commercial Properties in Beloit, WI. Prior to that, he was a real estate project analyst for Reich Brothers in White Plains, NY, and senior analyst for Suzuki Capital in New York City. Chris began his career as an analyst for Pujen Land Development, a top luxury condominium developer in Taiwan. Chris holds an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Engineering from Feng Chia University in Taiwan. He has certifications as an ARGUS Developer and in ARGUS Enterprise, and he is a member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP (the Commercial Real Estate Development Association) and ICSC, the largest global trade association for the real estate industry.

Doris Lacson - VP

Her diversified experience in accounting includes comprehensive GAAP knowledge, technical accounting, consolidation of subsidiaries, financial budgeting and forecasting, management of system implementation, accounting staff management, merger, acquisition and disposition due diligence and integration of acquired subsidiaries.

Eric Dowd

A certified public accountant, Eric Dowd oversees and manages Montecito's tax function and assists with matters related to corporate acquisitions and dispositions. Previously, he served as Senior Tax Manager for Deloitte Tax, LLP, managing tax compliance for a portfolio of clients concentrated in the healthcare industry, and as Director of Tax for eviCore Healthcare, where he oversaw tax due diligence for the company and tax compliance for a 28-entity organization. Dowd holds a Master's degree in Accountancy, with a Tax concentration, from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Gary Byrum

Byrum has more than 17 years' experience in capital budgeting and execution as well as due diligence in healthcare-focused commercial real estate. He manages capital improvements and physical due diligence for Montecito's fast-growing portfolio of premier medical office properties. Glenn Preston - President

Glenn Preston serves on the Executive Committee and partners with senior leaders of the company to develop and implement strategies to drive Montecito's growth and serve its customers. He brings a wealth of experience in commercial real estate including more than two decades of expertise specific to the medical office property segment. Mr. Preston joined us in early 2020 following 16 years at a publicly traded healthcare REIT where he led the team that operated and acquired the company's $6.5 billion medical office platform. He has been personally involved in all aspects of the acquisition of over $4 billion of medical office acquisitions throughout in his career. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jake Clark

As a member of Montecito's acquisitions team, Jake Clark helps to creatively tailor deals to help medical real estate owners come up with solution and leverage opportunities. Prior to joining the company, he served as a real estate investment sales agent with New Western Acquisitions and as a reporting analyst for the employee benefits consulting and health risk management firm of McGohan Brabender. Clark earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Dayton.

Joellyn Shannon

In addition to assisting with Montecito Medical's overall business strategy, Joellyn oversees the company's proprietary MRA and Scout research platforms, which comprise one of the nation's leading medical real estate-related databases. Her team provides analysis of medical market viability and demographics, clinical saturation and physician specialty gaps, as well as MOB owner and developer information, enabling the company to identify and invest in the best medical markets in the country. She is also responsible for Montecito's marketing efforts, which have helped the company source over 130+ medical office buildings across the country. Prior to joining the firm, Joellyn was a founding partner and served as Director of Design for Montecito Property Company, where she was instrumental in the branding and marketing of Montecito's condominiums, ultimately selling more than $2 billion dollars' worth in 36 months. Joellyn graduated from Roanoke College.

Justin Hayball - Chief Investment Officer, EVP

Justin is responsible for underwriting, financing, analyzing and due diligence for corporate acquisitions and dispositions. Since joining Montecito in 2013, Justin has been involved in the acquisition of 6+ million square feet of medical office building assets, exceeding a total value of over $1.5 billion dollars. Prior to joining Montecito Medical, he served as Product Manager - Real Estate for eFront Financial Solutions, a private equity software solutions company dedicated to the Alternative Investment industry. Earlier, he spent six years in an analyst role at PS Business Parks, a publicly traded REIT specializing in office, flex, and industrial real estate. He started his career in the Fund Accounting group of State Street Investment Manager Solutions. Justin earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance from HEC-Paris School of Management in Paris, France.

Ken Birdsong

Ken Birdsong leads the company's Development Services Division, focused on partnering with healthcare developers to create successful, ground-up real estate assets for physician and medical clients. In addition to buying medical properties after project completion, Montecito's services include partnering for capital funding, programmatic development and joint venture development structures. Birdsong possesses nearly 25 years of experience in healthcare real estate. He has managed the development of a broad range of healthcare projects, overseeing every aspect including feasibility assessment, land acquisition, design and construction management, equity and debt funding, leasing, partnership formation and property management. Prior to joining Montecito, Birdsong owned and led his own company, Greystone Brokerage and Development, where he and his team provided development, consulting and program management services for healthcare clients. Earlier, he served as Vice President of Development for The Greenfield Group, a company also focused exclusively on healthcare real estate. Birdsong holds an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Florida State University.

Liz Anne Bowden

Liz Anne serves as a key member of Montecito's legal department, providing legal advice to the Company in support of its acquisition, disposition, and asset management business. Prior to joining Montecito, she was in private practice advising clients on a broad range of matters, including commercial real estate transactions, corporate M&A, and litigation. Liz Anne is a Tennessee native and obtained both her J.D. and B.A. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Lucas Zarzecki

Lucas Zarzecki is part of Montecito's acquisitions team. He works closely with medical office property owners and real estate professionals to create successful transactions that deliver wins for all parties. Prior to joining Montecito, he owned and managed his own real estate company, Zarzecki Holdings, which handled acquisition and disposition of assets in Missouri and New York. He also served as a bond underwriter for insurance giant CAN and as a financial analyst for Centene Corporation. He holds a degree in Finance from Murray State University.

Coming to Montecito as an Acquisitions Associate who sourced and underwrote over $70 million of off-market ambulatory surgery center sale-leaseback acquisition opportunities, Tyler identifies rising business opportunities by creating relationships with potential sellers and presenting Montecito's services as well as maintaining relationships with previous sellers. Tyler obtains his Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Missouri Kansas City and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma.
