Celia leads our product team in creating the next generation of our product offerings-combining our 30 years of pedagogical expertise with the power of data and a digital platform to further empower teachers, administrators, and families.
Celia has more than 25 years in CEO, executive leadership, board, and strategic consulting roles for disruptive growth-oriented and mission-driven companies across B2C, B2B/G, and enterprise SaaS models. Her work has spanned the ed-tech, IoT, telematics, Usage-Based-Insurance (UBI), mobile app, Internet/e-commerce, and airline industries. She has experience across public, private, venture-backed, and private-equity backed companies and has participated in multiple transaction events, including successful IPO and private-equity transactions.
Before joining Teaching Strategies, Celia was the CEO at eDriving, where she led the development of a smart-phone-based, global enterprise SaaS product that reduced vehicle crashes by up to 67%-a product that was rapidly adopted by Fortune 250 global companies, including Amazon for their employee and contract drivers in multiple countries.
Celia has also held leadership roles at K12 and Independence Air, where she managed passionate, mission-driven teams and spearheaded marketing and customer experience initiatives that resulted in market leadership positions and unprecedented growth for the organizations she served.

An experienced technology executive with 20+ years in SaaS product development, Denis oversees software development and IT operations and is responsible for building and guiding our technology team. He works closely with our company leadership to ensure the delivery of innovative, customer-focused solutions and products.
Prior to joining Teaching Strategies, Denis spent 8 years at Regent Education leading the development of a market disruptive product suite that enables the delivery of financial aid to students in a highly automated and scalable way. As Regent's Chief Technology Officer, Denis was responsible for establishing the company's technical vision and overseeing all aspects of Regent's SaaS product development and IT Operations. He provided leadership, technical direction, and design guidance to product development teams. He was also a thought leader and subject matter expert for financial aid process automation to Regent, its customers, and its investors.
Denis also spent nearly a decade in technology consulting-providing custom software development and advising services across a number of industries, including insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, and the oil industry. He worked to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions for a number of Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders, such as ExxonMobil, AmerisourceBergen, Verizon, Johns Hopkins, and W.R. Grace.
Although Denis spent much of his career working in education, he became even more interested and involved in early childhood education when his two children were born prematurely in 2007. His personal experiences fueled a passion for equipping teachers and families with the best tools possible to help navigate the individual needs of every child.
Diane Dodge (founder of Teaching Strategies) becomes the Education Coordinator for a Head Start program in Mississippi. She is tasked with setting up the education program for 900 children and training the program's teachers.

A former classroom teacher and educational consultant, Emily has spent her entire professional career focused on improving outcomes for children. After becoming a parent in 2008, Emily personally and professionally explored the impactful role that families play in student achievement. Recognizing a gap in current research-based tools to support family engagement in public schools, she gathered a team of developers, filmmakers, and early childhood experts and founded ReadyRosie-a comprehensive family engagement solution.
Now as a part of the Teaching Strategies family, the ReadyRosie family engagement tools are being implemented by schools and programs countrywide. The innovative work of Emily and the ReadyRosie team has been highlighted by the White House Summit on Early Education, the Clinton Global Initiative, the LEGO Foundation Idea Conference, and multiple publications and journals.
Emily has become a leader in promoting transformative family engagement and now speaks locally and nationally to encourage other social impact entrepreneurs.
Heather leads the finance, accounting, and legal functions at Teaching Strategies, ensuring optimal resource allocation in support of our mission.
Heather brings to Teaching Strategies a unique combination of finance expertise and a passion for education. She started her career in investment banking, focused on supporting clients in the education industry. She then spent several years in private equity-investing in rapidly growing education and tech-enabled services businesses and working alongside management teams to pursue strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Teaching Strategies, Heather worked at a strategy consulting firm where she helped clients find new avenues for growth and improve operational efficiency.
Heather holds a B.B.A with a concentration in Accounting from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.
Heather has long had a passion for advancing education equity and a specific interest in leveraging technology to improve educational outcomes and the life prospects of children. She has worked in multiple administrative roles at Teach for America and completed a graduate fellowship program with Education Pioneers.

A Navy veteran and mission-oriented education leader, John has distinguished himself through a commitment to service and advocacy that strongly aligns with the Teaching Strategies legacy and vision.
John's experience in education includes several leadership and board roles at education companies and colleges working across the pre-K, K-12, and higher education spectrum. During this period, John led and championed experiential summer learning efforts, supported school districts and charter schools in service of non-traditional students, and facilitated lifelong learning for young adults seeking new careers. He has also previously served as a trustee of Sierra Nevada College and currently serves as a trustee of the Naval Academy Foundation.
Influenced by his experience as a father of a disabled child, John is passionate about finding and unleashing the unique potential in every child. He is a founding board member of Variety - the Children's Charity of the National Capital Region, which supports the needs of low-income children with mobility impairments and their families. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and received an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Jonah began his career teaching middle school in Baltimore with Teach For America. He holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
As a former educator and the father of three young girls, Jonah has a deep appreciation for high-quality early childhood education. He is committed to advancing policy aimed at improving and expanding access to early learning opportunities for all children.

Kevin brings significant experience and expertise to Teaching Strategies, where he leads the company's Sales team in supporting the field of early childhood education through high-quality, innovative print, digital, and technology solutions.
For over 20 years, Kevin has held multiple sales, strategy, and marketing leadership roles in the technology space with a concentration in the education market. His passion for technology, strong business background, and certification in change management has helped him lead teams to innovate and deliver solutions that directly meet the needs of customers across various markets.
Before joining the company in 2019, Kevin served as the Vice President of Sales at Blackbaud, where he was responsible for leading a sales team offering SaaS-based solutions to the North American non-profit market. Kevin has also served as Vice President of Sales at both ProQuest and LexisNexis, where he managed sales teams that delivered technology solutions in the education and professional services markets.
Prior to his move into the technology space, Kevin served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander Judge Advocate General and as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Washington.
He holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.

May is responsible for developing and executing the company's human resources strategy and overseeing facilities and administration.
As the head of HR and Administration, May leads her team in providing strategic guidance in the areas of talent acquisition and retention, leadership development, learning and organizational development, health and wellness, performance management, facilities management, and office administration.
With nearly 20 years' experience, May has an extensive background in leading organizations in building talent, shaping culture, and integrating solutions in the areas of performance management, retention, health and wellness, compliance, and employee engagement. Before joining Teaching Strategies in 2015, May worked with several industry-leading professional services, healthcare, legal, and private equity organizations, including Accenture, Inovalon, Foley & Lardner LLP, and The Carlyle Group, where she played a role in leading, designing, and implementing various human resources programs and initiatives.
May holds an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Business Administration from Bowie State University.

Scott oversees operations at Teaching Strategies, including the areas of customer success, support & technical services, logistics, and business information systems.
Scott has over 25 years of operational experience concentrated in the education industry. In addition to early learning at Teaching Strategies, Scott's education sector experience spans K-12 and higher education levels.
Prior to Teaching Strategies, Scott was with K12 Inc. for more than 10 years, occupying several positions until his role as Senior Vice President. In this position, he headed the operations group and held a variety of leadership roles in areas including enrollment operations, program management, process improvement, and the classroom products business line.
In his experience with higher education, Scott was a vice president with Delta Career Education Corporation, where he led the expansion of its commercial driver's license (CDL) offering as it more than tripled in size. He also drove process improvement projects informed by data analysis to more effectively acquire and serve its students.
In addition to his experience in the education industry, Scott was most notably the CEO of Propane Taxi-a propane tank delivery service-where he oversaw the general management of the company and led it through a business transformation culminating in a successful sale of the company. Earlier in his career, Scott also held operationally focused roles at America Online, Diamond Technology Partners, and KPMG.
Scott holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
As a son of two public school teachers, Scott's pull towards education was inevitable. He passionately believes that by equipping teachers with tools that enable individualized learning, they can more powerfully improve outcomes for all children-particularly our youngest learners.

Scott leads Teaching Strategies corporate development efforts, which includes partnership development, inorganic growth activities, and international strategy work.
Scott brings over 20 years of experience to his role, ranging from public policy, business development, product, marketing and corporate and strategic finance. He has served in government, nonprofit, startup and senior executive roles in organizations across the education sector, including both early learning, K-12 and higher education and workforce development. He also has extensive experience leading international strategy efforts and spent two years living as a volunteer in Brazil.
Prior to joining Teaching Strategies, Scott spent six years with Strada Education Network, a leading education nonprofit organization focused on connecting education to the workforce, where he eventually served as Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer, leading business development, product, and marketing functions for a collection of wholly owned affiliates.
Scott's professional experience includes several years with education technology startups, both as an investor (through Strada) and as an executive in a venture-financed EdTech startup.
He also spent five years working for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, where he successfully led major efforts to reform federal financial aid and federal career and technical education programs. While there, he also participated in the reauthorization of significant legislation impacting K-12 education, higher education and workforce programs, individuals with disabilities education (IDEA), and the Head Start program.
Scott holds both BA and MA degrees from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Scott's interest in joining Teaching Strategies grew from the desire to be part of a team focused on driving improvement in academic outcomes for our most vulnerable populations and helping to equalize opportunity - beginning with our youngest students.
