Anita Dorey

Anita has been practicing for 14 years and is experienced in the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, long term mental illness, and substance abuse. Anita received her Master's degree from Henderson State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is also certified as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug counselor. Anita uses a client centered approach with techniques in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, TFCBT, and Motivational Interviewing.

Ashley L. Head

Ashley Head joined Newhaven Counseling and Health Services in 2020. She completed her master's degree education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is board certified in psychiatric mental health and has been in practice in Arkansas seeing clients of all ages since 2019. Ashley Head provides medication management services via telemedicine to patients of all ages.

Coleman Matthews

Coleman is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with 17 years of experience as a therapist and more than30 years total experience working in behavioral health. He is currently Clinic Director for the Camden location of Newhaven Counseling and Health Services.

Jan Sims

Jan has been practicing for over 35 years and is experienced in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, crises, and long-term mental illness. She received her master's degree from UALR and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker. She worked part time as a lecturer an adjunct faculty in the graduate school of social work at ULAR for over 20 years. Jan worked at centers for youth and families for 27 years, prior to returning to South Arkansas. Jan was born in Magnolia, AR, loves reading, and spending time with family and friends

Janet Taylor

Janet Taylor, is a Licensed Associate Counselor and an Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health. She has worked with people of all ages and in a variety of settings before becoming a licensed therapist. She specializes in mood disorders such as depression or anxiety, ADHD, improving self-esteem and self-awareness, addiction issues and the challenges of everyday life. Her approach to the therapy process focuses primarily on the collaboration between therapist and client to address the needs and problems together. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques from evidenced-based approaches tailored to each person's unique needs and goals. A resident of Magnolia, Arkansas Janet is also a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoys spending time with her family, pets and painting.

Jennifer R. Eley

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor who has been working in the counseling field since 2010. She received her degrees from Southern Arkansas University; Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2007 and Master of Science in Counseling in 2010. Jennifer has experience working with clients of all ages and a variety of mental health needs. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and client-centered, strength based approaches with her clients. Jennifer also has training as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor to assist clients with substance use disorders and recovery. Jennifer is credentialed through the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling to supervise newly licensed counselors and has been doing so since 2017. She enjoys working with new counselors and interns to assist them in growing their skills to best help their clients. Jennifer is the Clinical Supervisor for the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) program.

Lavana J. Kindle

In October 2020, Lavana J. Kindle retired from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, where she taught and worked for 13 years. At that time, she began working as a therapist part-time at South Arkansas Regional Health Center here in Camden. She has a master's degree in counseling from Henderson State University and a master's degree in education from Southern Arkansas University. Lavana has special training in Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She enjoys working with people of all ages and also enjoys doing grief counseling. Lavana has had private practices in both Arkansas and Colorado. Lavana has many passions, some of which include gardening, cooking and entertaining, playing musical instruments, and traveling.

Lisa Gill

Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 23years in practice. She is an educator, writer, and motivational speaker. She specializes in career counseling and has additional certifications in Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk, Group/Individual Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care. She enjoys working mostly with families with at risk youth. Her passion is educating, motivating and inspiring change in the lives of others, especially the Developmentally Disabled.

Merle Wiseman

Dr. Wiseman joined Newhaven in 2011. He completed medical school at Loma Medical University. Family medicine residency training was completed at UAMS AHEC South. He provides medication management services to clients of all ages.

Neeley Cox

Neeley Cox holds a master's degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Neeley has practiced social work since 2003 in Arkansas and New Mexico. Neeley earned her master's degree in Social Work from University of Arkansas in Little Rock in 2008. Neeley's undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. She earned a minor in Criminal Justice and enjoys incorporating the creative outlets of the use of metaphors and writing into the therapeutic process whenever a client is interested in doing so. She enjoys providing therapy, completing assessments, and conducting crisis interventions for young adults, individuals, and families using an integrated approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client.
