PARNASSUS MOUNTAINEERING CLUB

We are a Sheffield based mountaineering club, founded back in 1960. Providing walking, camping, climbing, mountaineering, social events and regular pub meets in Sheffield and the Peak District... As a mountaineering club, we are involved in several outdoor activities. Initially the club began in the 60s as a climbing club mainly in the UK and the Peak District in particular. The climbing scene expanded into Alpine mountaineering, whilst some members simply chose to walk. A natural progression for some was skiing, which now number around half the membership.
