Brooke Carden, M.S., CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist Brooke received her Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Texas State University. She has over 10 years of experience working as a SLP with both the pediatric and geriatric population. Brooke is a returning SLP to Speech Therapy of Forsyth and is so happy to be back! Her favorite part of working with pediatrics is play based therapy and watching a child blossom through fun and activity. Brooke is the mother of two boys and her and her husband also have four dogs!

Emilie Johnson

Emilie Johnson began her career in Georgia as a certified Occupational Therapist in the Fulton County School System in 2010. Ms. Johnson's experience with the health field relating to rehabilitation services began in 2001 with her own rehabilitation efforts after receiving a CI-C2 incomplete spinal cord injury in a motor vehicle accident. Ms. Johnson collaborated with a team of specialists on her recovery process inspiring her to join the health field. She has maintained her knowledge on the latest assistive technologies to help with her own challenges and her experience is quite extensive. Her professional experience in the health field began in the School for Psychology at Western Michigan University at the Kalamazoo Autism Center practicing ABA therapy. She has trained in Handwriting Without Tears program, certification in Interactive Metronome, and specialized in pediatric sensory processing. Also included in her skill set are various assistive technologies for the visually impaired and augmented and alternative communication systems, including a certified LAMP provider. Her passion is working with kids on the Autism Spectrum including delivering a STEAM club for kids with Autism which builds soft skills for future employment opportunities through Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency. Her hobbies are crafting and antiquing. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, and appreciates music of all kinds.

Hannah Jones

Hannah Jones, M.Ed. CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist, University of Tennessee graduate. Hannah attended Valdosta State University where she earned her Masters of Education in communication sciences and disorders. Speech Therapy has been her passion since her initial exposure as a high school volunteer in a pediatric therapy clinic. For the last two years, Hannah has worked in the Valdosta State University Speech Therapy clinic, the Children's Hospital of Georgia and Forsyth County schools. In addition, she has an advanced knowledge of American Sign Language. Each of these experiences have helped to build upon her knowledge and has provided her the added opportunity to collaborate and learn from many Therapists within both educational and clinical settings. Hannah has an added passion working with children with fluency disorders, children who have Autism, and children with hearing loss.

Justine C. Glover

Justine C. Glover, M.A. CCC-SLP Speech and Language Pathologist Clinical Director Justine Glover is the founder and Clinical Director of our clinic. She did her graduate study at Hunter College of the City University of New York, graduating in 1972. She worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center for several years before moving to Atlanta. There she founded Atlanta's first all day, year round therapeutic preschool in 1981 while advocating for early intervention services statewide. Speech Therapy of Forsyth was started 2005 with the intention to pair Speech/Language Therapy with an intense respect for 1) the necessity of Parent Coaching, 2) a working knowledge of sensory integration disorders, and 3) modeling the rules of conversation for the children and parents. This mission continues to be realized in our clinic by the exceptional staff this mission has attracted.

Kaitlyn Knapp

Kaitlyn Knapp Administrative Assistant B.S Kutztown University, SLP-A The University of Montana. Kaitlyn joins our office staff as a full-time Administrative Assistant and provides assistance to our Speech Therapists as a certified Speech Language Pathology Assistant. After working with many populations and within several healthcare settings, she has decided to pursue Speech Therapy as a career and is seeking admittance to Graduate School. She is very excited to learn from the other amazing Therapists at Speech Therapy of Forsyth ! Kaitlyn lives in Forsyth County with her husband.

Kari B. Sykes

Kari B. Sykes, M.A., CCC/SLP Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Supervisor University of Cincinnati, 2004, Communication Sciences and Disorders Kari has over 15 years of experience working as a pediatric SLP in a variety of school and healthcare settings. She has spent the last 9 years practicing at Speech Therapy of Forsyth, where she has honed her parent coaching skills. Her favorite part of being a speech therapist is being able to play all day long with her patients and discover opportunities to address speech and language goals in fun and meaningful ways. Celebrating gains, persevering through challenges, and her individual bonds with patients are the main reasons she loves being a pediatric SLP. Kari is also a mother to two boys, her oldest was diagnosed with Autism in 2010 at the age of 2 years old. Kari is a fierce advocate for her son and her involvement with the Autism community transcends her clinical experiences. Speech Therapy of Forsyth and her family has raised funds and participated in the Atlanta Autism Speaks Walk for the past 8 years.

Katie Eastman

Katie Eastman, M.S. CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist Katie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Austin. She continued her education at UT Health San Antonio where she obtained a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology. Katie has experience working in the private practice and hospital setting serving both adults and pediatrics. As a practicing clinician, Katie has treated a variety of speech and language disorders including autism, Down syndrome, childhood apraxia of speech, developmental delay, fluency disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, and feeding disorders. Katie is most passionate about autism spectrum disorder and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as well as, determining the most effective way to help kids communicate. Katie also enjoys incorporating sensory integration in her therapy sessions for those with sensory needs to make sure kids are calm and alert allowing them to learn to the best of their ability.

Kaylee Levidiotis, M.S. CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist Kaylee attended the University of Tennessee where she earned her master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Before Kaylee decided to become a SLP, she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and worked at the Marcus Autism Center/Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for both the research department and the educational outreach program. Kaylee has experience working with various populations with a variety of needs including the following: speech and language, feeding and swallowing, social communication, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, voice disorders, AAC, apraxia, deaf and hard of hearing, and traumatic brain injury. Additionally, she has experience treating adults with cognitive and communication needs in the skilled nursing facility setting. Kaylee is most passionate about early intervention and parent coaching to promote carryover skills in settings beyond therapy. She also enjoys collaboration with occupational and physical therapists.

Michele Pedretti Administrative Director B.A. Florida Atlantic University 1993 Michele is a managing partner responsible for office operation, office/staff coordination and patient/parent advocacy. Michele believes the best part of her position is patient advocacy enabling families to get the most of their Therapy - both financially and with coordination between therapist and family. Michele and her husband moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Forsyth in 2008, have two children and live in Cumming.

Sharish Hussain

Larkin Stroud M.A. CCC-SLP Larkin received her Bachelor of Education degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Georgia. There she volunteered at the nonprofit Extra Special People where she gained a love and interest in working with people who have special needs. She continued her education to obtain her Masters of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She has experience working in the school system, at a Children's Hospital, and working with adults in a Rehabilitation Hospital. Larkin has a passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disorders, and children in need of early intervention services. Sharish Hussain, M.S. CF-SLP Speech Language Pathologist, Georgia State University graduate. Sharish attended Georgia State University where she earned her Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. There she worked with children and adults with a variety of speech/language disorders at the Georgia State Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. For the last two years, Sharish has worked with Forsyth County Schools and a pediatric outpatient clinic providing early intervention therapy services. Sharish has a special interest in bilingual language acquisition in children with speech and language disorders. She has a passion for working with children who have Autism and Down Syndrome.
