The QSMC is striving for legislative compatibility, through a working relationship, with State Government Mining Regulators, to foster open communication, acknowledgement, and meaningful discussion, for the betterment of our members, small businesses, tourism and the greater community... The QSMC was founded in 2001 and had its first meeting on September 11, with the Department of Mines in Brisbane... QSMC ensures that legislative and regulatory framework of governments and their agencies are suitable for the needs of the small scale mining sectors so that they not only survive but are able to thrive.
