At Sydney Japanese International School, a special presentation on the terrifying earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan on the 1st January 2024, was presented by the school captains on Friday the 22nd February. Sadly, many people lost their lives. There are still so many collapsed houses... SJIS offers two divisions, each with a separate curriculum: the International Division, teaching the NSW curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 6 with daily Japanese language lessons, and the Japanese Division, teaching the curriculum as currently taught in Japan for Year 1 to Year 9 with daily English lessons.
