SSI UK is a 100%-owned UK-based subsidiary of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI). SSI is the largest steel sheet producer in Southeast Asia with annual hot-rolling capacity of 4 million tpa, and is publicly owned and listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). SSI, through this acquisition by SSI UK, fulfills its goal of becoming a fully-integrated flat steel producer - from agglomeration, coke making, iron making, steel making, hot rolling, cold rolling to galvanizing. The stable supply of high-grade steel slabs to our downstream rolling operation in Thailand, and the enhanced capability to innovate Premium Value Products for our customers, will allow SSI to be more competitive and better serve the fast growing market in Asia.
