Sea Turtle Recovery (STR) is dedicated to the rehabilitation, preservation and conservation of sea turtles. STR's goal is to rehabilitate sick or injured sea turtles for their release back to the wild. Sea Turtle Recovery also educates the public on the important ecological role of sea turtles, threats endangering them, and ways to protect their future... In 2016, Sea Turtle Recovery and the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo joined together for conservation. The Turtle Back Zoo donated a 4,000 sq foot facility and in return, STR provides outreach and sea turtle rehabilitation inside the zoo. Now we need your help to continue providing the best care possible for these endangered and threatened species. Together, we can make a difference for sea turtles!
