Caitlyn K. Affrunti

Dr. Caitlyn Affrunti is a Board-Certified Periodontist originally from Redmond, WA. Her love for softball enabled her to play at the Division I collegiate level and earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University. From Connecticut she continued her education in Omaha, NE where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Creighton University and fell in love with periodontics. Doctor Affrunti followed her passion for periodontics at Loma Linda University, where she received her master's degree and published her master's thesis in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Affrunti's philosophy is to treat and serve her patients with compassion and care and set the standard of excellence in the field of dentistry. She is well-trained in all aspects of periodontics and implantology. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Affrunti enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family. They love to travel, scuba dive, and live an active lifestyle.

Dr. Sanchita Mehra

Dr. Sanchita Mehra is a Board-Eligible Periodontist who began her dental journey early on as an intern at her childhood dental office in Long Island, New York. After graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts followed by Rutgers University with a Master of Biomedical Sciences, she decided to follow the sun for her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. There, Dr. Mehra developed a passion for periodontal surgery, and graduated from the University of Southern California with a certificate in Advanced Periodontology and a Master of Science in Biomedical Implants and Tissue Engineering. Dr. Mehra prides herself on working enthusiastically with her colleagues to ensure each patient is treated comprehensively and professionally. Her goals for her patients include halting periodontal disease progression, improving function, esthetics, and quality of life. When she's not treating patients, Dr. Mehra enjoys dancing, photography, and traveling. Mark J. Kunihira

Dr. Mark Kunihira has been in practice for over a decade working with children and adults to promote dental health. He is always in search of the latest technology and research, ensuring that each of his patients get the best treatments that modern dentistry has to offer. Dr. Mark first had his inspiration to enter the field of dentistry as a teenager. Growing up in a dental family, he knew at an early age that dentistry would be his calling. His earliest experiences in dentistry started with dental assisting at his father's practice during his high school years. He enjoyed working with his father and saw how he was able to help his patients with their oral health and overall well-being. His experiences as an assistant further reinforced his desire to become a dentist. He was accepted to dental school in the summer of 2000. Dr. Mark graduated with a D.D.S. degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2004. After practicing for a year as a general dentist in Lake Arrowhead, he continued his studies in dentistry and completed his residency in Advanced Periodontics at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in June of 2008. He joined his father's practices in Upland and San Bernardino, CA during the summer of 2008 and is now working in several locations in southern California. Dr. Mark is trained in all aspects of periodontal therapy including LANAP laser surgery, bone regeneration, implants, and periodontal plastic surgery. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie and their four kids, Katelin, Trinity, Joshua and Leah. Their activities together center around the outdoors and being in nature. They enjoy fishing, snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, camping and hiking.
