Anthony Leal is a legal assistant born and raised in Pilsen, a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood in Chicago. He is a graduate of Harold Washington College, who began at an entry-level position, where he deals with the collection of medical records, clients intakes, drafting legal documents, setting appointments, and calendar dates, but is currently looking to expand his learning by taking on new projects and tasks head-on every day.
You will find that Anthony is most helpful and always courteous as he provides legal assistance and administrative support to ensure the office and its clients are supported in their moments of need. He hopes to continue his education and establish himself in the legal field.
Ms. Cárdenas has more than 20 years of experience representing adults and minors who have suffered debilitating injuries in every area of personal injury. Ms. Cárdenas is a member of the highly esteemed Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum due to her repeated success in winning multimillion-dollar settlements for her clients. Starting in 2012, Ms. Cardenas has consistently been named as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers. She prides herself on tenaciously representing her clients from day one to the very end.
She is an Indiana University graduate and obtained her law degree from Loyola University School of Law Chicago. Ms. Cárdenas has tried numerous cases in Cook County, Will County, and Lake County, Illinois. She has represented clients in Federal Court and has argued before the Supreme Court of Illinois. Ms. Cárdenas is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

Khalid Hasan is of counsel to the firm and was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Khalid represents individuals and families in personal injury and negligence matters arising from medical malpractice, workplace accidents, nursing home negligence, premises liability, wrongful death, vehicle collisions, and various other injury cases.
Khalid earned his Juris Doctorate from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. As a trial lawyer, Khalid represented personal injury clients in both Illinois state and federal courts and successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients.
In Doe 1 v. Cicero School District 99, Khalid second-chaired a jury trial alongside Katherine Cardenas and successfully secured a $2.5 million jury verdict for a client that was sexually abused by her kindergarten teacher. The $2.5 million verdict was reported in the 2019 list of Top 50 Verdicts in Illinois, published by Top Verdict. TopVerdict.com lists the largest verdicts, settlements, and arbitration awards secured by attorneys throughout Illinois during the 2019 calendar year.
Khalid has written multiple publications, in the Illinois Bar Journal, regarding the use of social media evidence in the courtroom and its impact on litigation. He frequently presents on the topics of using social media and electronic evidence at trial, obtaining social media and electronic evidence during discovery, and the impact of social media evidence on litigation.
Outside the courtroom, Khalid participates in various professional and charitable organizations. He is an active member of the Junior Executive Board for the Chicago Lighthouse, an organization serving the blind, visually impaired, and disabled.
