Alex is a local of Colorado, spending most of his life in the Mesa County area. Alex received his bachelor's degree at Colorado Mesa University in 2013, then furthered his education at Adams State University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. He joined Health Solutions West (formerly Mind Springs Health) in 2014 as a Housing Case Manager at the Oasis Clubhouse. Over the years he has and continues to provide direct client care through case management and therapy services, specifically with the SPMI population.
During his time at Health Solutions West, Alex has held several leadership roles, including Program Coordinator, Program Director, and Vice President of Outpatient Services. He has a passion for community mental health and is committed to improving client satisfaction and access to care. He hopes to enhance operations to provide consistent quality care to the local communities. Alex currently serves at Senior Vice President of Clinical Services.
In his free time, Alex can be found adventuring the outdoors with his family, working out at the local gym, coaching youth sports, or on the hunt for the greatest chicken sandwich.

Tom Gangel is a Regional Outreach Director for Mind Springs. He has been in the mental health field for 39 years and has worked in private practice, as a professional speaker (for sport and business performance and stress management), in a CA state hospital, as director of the forensic psychiatric unit of a mega jail in Houston and has been a professor at two universities and an adjunct instructor at a community college. He has served as a Program Director, Regional Director, and Operations Manager during his 24 years with Mind Springs Health.
Tom serves on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Colorado Community Health Partnership, a 501 c-3 organization serving 5 rural resort Colorado counties. He also is a member of the Collaborative Management Program Interagency Oversight Group of Routt and Rio Blanco Counties.
Tom also served on the boards of Reaching Everyone: Preventing Suicide (REPS, for 17 years) and The Yampa Valley Autism Program (for 19 years). He received his master's in psychology from John F. Kennedy University in California.
Tom's career has been dedicated to creating health and wellness for patients and communities.
