Brandon Smith

Job Titles:

Brandon is 18 and impressed us while out on a trial with his attitude and willingness to learn. He's been doing roofing with another roofing company the past 6 months, but now wants to take his apprenticeship to the next level by learning from the very best. Congratulations to Brandon Smith on winning the " Employee of the month" award for February with DMG Services Group. Brandon is still in his first year of learning on site and is already able to felt/batten roofs on his own to a very high standard. He's keen to learn and is constantly asking questions on how to do things better. Brandon has just won a full years driving lessons from DMG to help him gain his driving license. Daniel Wilson

Job Titles:

Daniel is 17 and came through North Lanarkshires "Routes to Work" programme. After coming to the office for an interview after our Scottish Sun interview looking for apprentices he impressed and will start straight away on our commercial contracts. He will be on site for 12 months before we send him to South Lanarkshire College to start his roof tiling apprenticeship.

Darren McGhee

Job Titles:
  • Winning Apprentice of the Year in His First Year at College Was Enough to Encourage Him to Always Be at the Top of His Game
Three years later, he walked away with three consecutive apprentice of the year awards (which has never been done before or since) and left with all Scottish Vocation Qualifications in roof tiling and advanced craft. Winning this award has taken Darren from strength to strength and made him decide to give something back to the roofing industry. The DMG Academy of Roofing is his way of passing on his skills, creating a legacy and giving back to the community.

David Marshall

David joined DMG straight from school and is now a time-served tradesman. His confidence in roofing has soared recently and our young apprentices thrive under his wing.

Declan Malone

Declan is a 2nd year apprentice and has just joined us from another company to continue his apprenticeship. He will be working on our new build sites and attending South Lanarkshire College. Declan has a great attitude and is always wanting to learn.

John McGhee

Job Titles:
  • Site Supervisor
John has been doing roofing for over 40 years and joins DMG with years of experience on all types of roofs. Johns passion is teaching and learning the next generation of roofers coming through our training academy. He will be on site every day carrying out the quality control and passing on his roofing knowledge.

Kerry McGhee - COO

Job Titles:
  • Operations Director
  • Operations Director of MyRoofCare Ltd
Kerry is the Operations Director of MyRoofCare Ltd, our commercial and domestic maintenance programme. She is also the school liaison and course coordinator for the DMG Academy of Roofing. Her 12 years' experience as a teacher sets her in good stead to assist in the training of our new recruits and lead our mentoring programme.

Kevin Quinn

Job Titles:

Kevin has worked with DMG from the beginning, and they don't come more talented than him. He has over 20 years of experience on every type of roof imaginable. He works one- to-one with the apprentices on a daily basis who are lucky to learn from the very best Kev is our foreman who works hard to keep our team going. He was delighted to win a Makita twin drill set for his efforts this month.

Kieran McQuade

Kieran is 18 and has came through North Lanarkshires "Routes to Work" programme. Kieran immediately stood out during the interview process. He has a great attitude to work and is keen to learn. He will be on site for 6 months before we send him to South Lanarkshire College to start his roofing apprenticeship.

Kyle Burns

Kyle is a 4th year apprentice. He works on-site and in South Lanarkshire College. Kyle came through the interview process through Routes to Work, and has been impressing ever since. Kyle Burns Congratulations to Kyle Burns on winning the "Employee of the month" award for January with DMG Services Group Ltd Employee of the month. Kyle was delighted to win this Milwaukee tool belt for his hard work and dedication to the team.

Kyle McAuley

Kyle is 19 and impressed us while out on trial with his great attitude and willingness to learn. He has transitioned into roofing seamlessly and is impressing his tradesman everyday on site. Congratulations to Kyle McAuley on winning the "Employee of the month" award for April. Kyle joined us just under a year ago and has impressed since his first day with his great attitude. Nothings ever a problem. Kyle left another job to come to DMG after seeing his friend thriving with us. This past month he's really excelled and it's great to see the healthy competition between all the apprentices. The first 6 months are all about learning the basics of roofing, health and safety, carrying tiles etc, we've now seen him take this further by felting, battening with his tradesman and buying his own tools without us asking him. This shows he's now wanting to invest in himself and continue to learn, this really impressed us. Congratulations, and enjoy your new circular saw to start tile battening on site purchased from our local Screwfix in Bellshill.

Leon Boomer

Leon Boomer wins January employee of the month prize. Makita circular saw. Leon has impressed the team this month with his hard work and great attitude. Rain or shine he's been keeping his head down and learning each day and it's not gone unnoticed. Well done.

Liam McDonald

Marc Cutler

Marc is currently in his 2nd year apprenticeship at South Lanarkshire College. He's been impressing both on site and in College since he joined and has just been put forward to attend worldskills competition to compete against the best apprentices from all over the uk.

Michael Cairns

Michael is 16, and has joined us straight from Brannock High School, Motherwell. We first met Michael when he came to our Academy through the Future Friday partnership. After showing a keen interest and sitting his CSCS Health and Safety test, he then came out on a 2 week trial during the Easter holidays. Congratulations to Michael Cairns, our employee of the month for July. Since joining DMG straight from school Michael has impressed in everything he's been taught by his tradesmen and picked things up effortlessly. He recently passed the IPAF training course and is now working on our commercial contracts for Chivas Regal across Scotland. Well done michael and enjoy your new tools.

Michael McIntyre

Michael has just joined us from another roofing company after 8 years of working on new build sites. He has transitioned into the company quickly and can't wait to start learning from our tradesman on site.

Sean Hastings

Sean is a 2nd year apprentice and has also just joined us from another company to continue his apprenticeship. He will be working on our new build sites and attending South Lanarkshire College. Sean is loving life at DMG and fits into the team perfectly. Congratulations to Sean Hastings on winning the "Employee of the month" award for March. Sean has shown a great attitude since joining DMG last year, in particular, this last month we've seen a massive change in his workmanship on site. It's all starting to click together for him and we're delighted to watch him grow into a tradesman. He's eager to learn, and always asking questions on how to work more efficiently and effectively, this has not gone unnoticed. Stuart McLellan

Stuart is 19 and has also came through North Lanarkshire's "Routes to work" programme. Stuart will be on site and in the Roofing academy learning for 6 months before attending South Lanarkshire College as a first year Roofing apprenticeship.
