Cameron MacLeod

Cameron joined Turnberry in May 2021 as a Graduate Project Manager. He now works alongside Norrie Kitson and Liam Wood at Turnberry Development Management, developing communities and suburban developments such as Chapelton in Aberdeenshire. Cameron's first project at Turnberry was the delivery of a small temporary business park at Chapelton. The business park provided small independent local businesses a place to establish themselves. Cameron graduated from Heriot Watt University in 2021 with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Project Management. He also lived in Malaysia for a semester, attending Heriot Watt University Malaysia, which provided a global perspective on the construction industry. Having previously been employed with a major consultant but in recent years working closely with Turnberry, Norrie Kitson helped co-found Turnberry Development Management Ltd in 2017 and joined as a Director. He has a wide range of experience of project management in the UK, having worked in both the public sector and private sectors; he has more than 20 years experience in providing feasibility advice and project management services to a wide range of clients, projects, frameworks and discrete commissions. Having held various leadership positions on projects in the public and private sectors, Norrie has gained significant experience in the development, procurement and delivery of a wide range of projects varying in capital value and complexity in the fields of infrastructure, residential, health, law and order, government, manufacturing, transportation, leisure and services infrastructure. Norrie has gathered and developed particular experience in the preparation of Strategic Business Plans and has experience of several procurement routes and various forms of contract. Of particular note, Norrie has led project management services in the development of new communities and suburban developments. This has included early and ongoing roles as lead project manager on the emerging new towns of Chapelton (Aberdeenshire) and Tornagrain (Moray) and the provision of early feasibility input of two new community developments (Hatfield, Hertfordshire).

Jenny Potts

Jenny Potts manages Turnberry's London office and is personal assistant to Paul Roberts and Jonathan Coulson. A racing enthusiast, she previously worked at Ascot Racecourse.

Jonathan Coulson

Job Titles:

Jonathan Coulson founded Turnberry Consulting with Paul Roberts in 1998 and is an Executive Director of the firm. As a Director, Jonathan has led a wide range of planning and development issues with particular focus on complex rationalisation or redevelopment projects, acting for both the public and private sector. He has extensive experience working on sites of sensitive contexts, including urban, educational, residential and historic sites. In many cases, these schemes have involved land use planning, development and market related feasibility studies. Notably, he has provided development strategy advice to numerous universities on estate strategy, science and technology projects. Jonathan is a co-author of University Planning and Design: The Search for Perfection, and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Paul Roberts founded Turnberry Consulting with Jonathan Coulson in 1998. As an Executive Director, he has led planning and development projects across the UK and US, including university masterplans; strategic sports facility redevelopments; new towns; retail and commercial schemes; and science and technology projects. Paul has provided strategic development advice to a wide range of clients and is experienced in dealing with complex property issues, particularly sites of a sensitive industrial or conservation nature. He has also led negotiations for land use planning and legal agreements, led research projects for public and private sector clients and provided financial and cash-flow strategies for major developments. Paul has lectured internationally on university masterplanning, racetrack design and management and new town development. He is a co-author of University Planning and Design: The Search for Perfection, and The Spa: Saratoga's Legendary Racecourse. He is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

McKenzie O'Neill

As a senior designer for Turnberry, McKenzie has helped guide and develop a range of projects with her background in architecture and urban design, with a focus on high-quality place-making. Navigating projects of high complexity, the coordination of large design teams and project stakeholders is intrinsic to her role. Whilst at Turnberry, she has provided design support for a variety of projects in the UK and abroad including Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the US with university masterplanning initiatives, racecourse infrastructure design and asset review, and new communities design. Alongside these she has led the development and writing of various design codes and guidance documents and participated in various design workshops and charrettes.
