A DESIGN LABORATORY

In the same way that a huge variety of cultures have evolved all across the world, here in Japan there are also a wide variety of cultures whose growth has been nurtured over time... From these cultures a wealth of art has been born - from that commissioned by the great powers of the ages to display their grandeur, to the art refined throughout the lives of common people... A Design Laboratory has particular expertise in the areas of Ukiyoe (Japanese water-color), signboards, calligraphy, advertisements, traditional patterns, and popular art.
