AMY MCPEEK PHOTOGRAPHY

My love of photography started back in 2004 when I first picked up my mother's vintage Pentax film camera and started shooting. There was something magical about developing my negatives in my high school photography class dark room and waiting on the edge of my seat for the images I captured to come to life... After high school, most of my college coursework was made up of Marketing and Communication classes, but I always made sure a photography class was part of my curriculum each semester... After spending over 12 years sitting behind a computer after graduation, I always felt like something was missing in my professional life. Watching my 3 sons grow before my eyes and witnessing the passing of my mother at a young age encouraged me to relish in the fact that life is short and special moments with your loved ones are fleeting.
