Matthew's initial passion began working in community gardens encouraging local people to create green spaces to grow food, flowers and develop friendships. He has worked in the landscape design industry for over 30 years and has extensive experience in designing and building landscapes. Matthew qualified as a Landscape Architect after completing his postgraduatre diploma and then went on to study for a Masters in Construction Project Management in 2005.
Since qualifying as a landscape architect Matthew has primarily worked on garden design projects and landscapes across the UK and Europe. He has recieved medals for show gardens at Hampton Court as well as Bali awards for private gardens.

With a love for nature and a keen eye for design Pippa changed her 20 year profession as a social worker and retrain as a garden designer to join her husband Matthew and become a key member of the design team at Apt Studios. She realised that her passion for creating positive change to peoples lives could extend beyond the realm of social work allowing her to combine her love for helping others with her passion for nature and design. This results in unique and personalised gardens that bring joy, well being and tranquillity to individuals and families.
Pippa constantly seeks new challenges and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally and with her background in social work she understand the importance of empathy, communication, and collaboration, which she brings to every project.
Tom is an accomplished garden designer who studied horticulture with the RHS at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, before graduating from Pershore College with a Distinction. Tom has a passion for planting design, and creating innovative planting designs that are unique to each site and specific to each clients needs.
