Gratia steered her way towards a career in real estate starting in 2002, just after she purchased the first of her 4 homes she has owned in San Juan Capistrano. She began her career in Real Estate as a Transaction Coordinator for several high end Agents then branched out on her own doing TC work out of her home office and created her S-Corporation of Hansen & Hansen, Inc. She explains that her passion in real estate started when she was a young girl and she fell in love with the home buying process when her mother purchased her first home. Gratia tells us that her favorite part of her day-to-day in the industry is interacting with her clients and forming relationships that will last a lifetime.
Gratia's passion for real estate and her transition into the title industry has gradually guided her towards the high-end residential market. She originally comes from Dallas, Texas and moved to Orange County when she was 14 years old; she has lived here ever since and has become an expert on the area, especially South Orange County and San Juan Capistrano. When she isn't in the field meeting new clients and fulfilling the needs of her current clientele, you'll find her paddle-boarding in Dana Point, spending time with her sons Logan (whom recently moved to Colorado with his longtime girlfriend) and Braden, and enjoying time with her granddaughter, Cali Jean who just started kindergarten. When her boys were in High School she was an active member of the San Juan Hills Football Program, serving as the President of the football Booster Club, she is an active member in her community, and a well known regular at her local Capo Beach Church. Gratia recently also just got married to Mr. Shawn Schafer who also attended Capo Beach Church years prior. Shawn owns a pool building company, Schafer Pools, and actively seeks Gratia's elegant eye for design within his pool design company.
