JMS Woodcrafts was founded by John Steckbeck in 2016. Pieces are sourced and made in the Texas Hill Country. All work is by hand and guaranteed for life... We built our home in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, on the north shore of Lake Travis. Just an hour outside of Austin, it keeps us close to our sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughters. And it is here, following retirement from high tech sales, management, and marketing, that I now spend most days in my wood shop, amid the collection of new and used tools I've amassed over the years.
