THE CAB CALLOWAY FOUNDATION

The Cab Calloway Foundation was formed in 1995 after Cab Calloway's death. Under the direction of Lena Horne, Executive Chair, Nuffie MacNeal Calloway, President, and Cabella Calloway Langsam, CEO, the Cab Calloway Foundation began its mission by becoming a 501 (c) (3) in 2001 in order to benefit both the legacy of Cab and educational programs, communities and institutions. The members of the Cab Calloway Foundation believe the path to lifelong learning begins with an invitation to curiosity through the individual gifts, intelligences, and interests of children. We seek to build self-esteem and confidence by expanding the definitions of intelligence to also include musical, visual, kinesthetic, and ethical gifts.
