The role of the Office of the Ombudsman (Office) is to serve as the independent health and wellness advisor to the Massachusetts Department of Correction (DOC). The Office wants to promote and protect health and wellness for all who live or work in DOC facilities. We collaborate with DOC leaders, all staff, and incarcerated individuals to identify ways to support and improve the wellness culture across the DOC.
