Andrew Wheeler

Andrew joined 1762 at Brewin Dolphin as Head of Business Development in October 2018. Andrew is responsible for growing relationships with professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, drawing on his experience in dealing with professional firms in the UK as well as in offshore markets. Previously, Andrew was Group Head of Business at Kleinwort Hambros in London; a Partner at Absolute Fund Managers LLP, where he managed the business of their private client-focused hedge fund range. Prior to this worked for Unigestion where he was instrumental in the growth and development of the Family Investment Office. Andrew has also spent a number of years advising high net worth clients in Jersey, primarily at Dexia Private Bank. Andrew read Business Studies at the University of the South Bank, London and holds the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment - Investment Advice Diploma.

David Kilshaw

David has over 35 years of experience in advising clients including entrepreneurs, offshore trustees and non-doms on all aspects of personal taxation. David joined Rawlinson & Hunter in 2019, prior to which he spent over 20 years as a partner in two of the Big 4 accounting firms. David started his career as a solicitor. David's recent work includes advice on creating a family office in the UK, pre-UK arrival planning for a senior executive, and the sale of a significant private company owned by an offshore trust. David has appeared in court as an expert witness on a number of occasions including in the Mehjoo case on non-domicile planning. David won the STEP Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and in 2016 won the "Leading Individual Award" at the Wealth Briefing European Awards. Before this, James was Head of Investment Management at C Hoare and Co and had overall responsibility for client portfolios' investment strategy. James also worked for eight years at Goldman Sachs in their quantitative strategy group and five years in market and credit risk at Barclays Capital. James edits investment column for the STEP Journal and also writes the quarterly manager update for PA magazine. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Julian has more than 25 years' experience in estate and succession planning and specialises in trusts and alternative structures. Julian qualified as a solicitor with Withers and then practised in London. For a number of years he was a partner at Manches & Co and then moved to Jersey in 1997. Julian has been with Hawksford since 2002. Julian has extensive expertise and knowledge in providing fiduciary services to a wide range of clients including high net worth entrepreneurs and families with significant international business interests. He provides sensible advice on all issues of private wealth and wealth planning and has particular expertise in family governance, estate planning and succession planning, protecting a family's wealth for the benefit of future generations. Julian is part of the executive team that heads up Hawksford Succession Planning, Hawksford Advisory and Hawksford Family Office. He is a member of Hawksford Group board and is one of the members that took part in the management buy-out of Rathbone Trust Company Jersey Limited in October 2008. Mark is a Partner in our Family Office Division. He joined the Group in 2014 after nearly 25 years as a lawyer in private practice specialising in international corporate and commercial work. Prior to joining the Group Mark was a Partner of the international law firm Appleby, and was Head of the Corporate and Commercial Department of the Jersey office. Mark graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, he qualified as an English solicitor and as a Jersey advocate. He also obtained a diploma in French Law (Certificate D'Études des Lois Normand et Francaises). Mark has been recommended by Chambers Global and other legal directories as a "leading Individual" lawyer and is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences, particularly in relation to financial services regulation.
